Friends of ours attended a wedding yesterday. The 5 yr old flower girl had a basket of rose petals. She kept dropping the petals in the aisle as she made her way forward.
The 3 yr old flower girl followed the first, and kept yelling at the girl for dropping her petals. She picked them all up and put them into her own basket as she walked down the aisle.
If you were the bride, or mother of the bride, would you do anything about that situation?

Which one, Samantha? The 5 yr old "litterer"? Or the 3 yr old "cleaner"?

Hey, I thought it was cute, too. I wasn't condemning anyone.

I wouldn't do anything about either one of these cute kids.
Kids are just that...kids. Let them be. Leave them both alone. The one child was SUPPOSED to drop the flower petals. That's tradition. The second kid thought she was being clean. So let her be!
I honestly don't see what the problem is. Either way, the bride and groom got married, didn't theY?

Well that's the trouble with flower girls and ring barrers you maybe getting a show.
This is innocent and sounds like it was a good laugh and didn't ruin anything really.
I wouldn't say a word. When my sister was a flower girl she cried hystarically all the way down the isle with my dad behind (he wasn't part of the wedding party lol)
It's nothing bad, infact it's cute and it's something if you have it on video to show at her wedding one day.
You have to let certin things slide adn this one was one of them. Besides what can you say? You can't get mad at the child it wasn't her fault and you can't get upset at the parents?
what really can you tell the parents?
"oh next time i'm not picking your child?
or
"Your daughter runined my wedding because she yelled and picked up all the petels?
hey at least she's environmentally friendly.
I say laugh and let it go!

What could the bride do? Nothing - she's suppose to rush out and not on her dad's arm to take care of that?
Sure, someone should have gently gone over to the 3 year old and told her it was "ok" this time. Think about it though... how often is it ok to throw things on the ground? Good for her mother to teach her not to do that. She was only acting that way because it wasn't "right" to do.
Hope they got pics :o)

If that has been captured on video, you ought to put it on a public site, - so, that everyone can enjoy it! There are TV shows, that pay MONEY, for clips, like that!
As for the bit, about the bride, - and the bride's mother, - you'd have to be pretty hard-hearted, to WANT to do anything, - apart from give BOTH kids a HUGE HUG, - and a ROUND OF APPLAUSE! From your description, of the situation, it sounds SO PERFECT!

No, I wouldn't do anything. Maybe take a photograph and try to decide later which was cuter.
The parents may have thought it was adorable, and may make some comforting comments to their daughters about it.
It wasn't the tradition, and maybe they should have changed places, with the younger child leading. Either way, no harm was caused, and it was their event, for their family.
At your wedding, make sure the flower girls are trained, trained, trained.

Honestly, there isn't much you can do except grab a video camera and save the memories. This sounds a bit humorous and will probably be fun to watch later, especially when the girls are older and are poked fun of by all there relatives. It might seem a bit shameful at the time, but tomorrow is another day.

Both are to young to have such high behavior expectations unless there was a TON of practice with th older one. The younger was just being a three year old, get real!

I THINK THAT IS CUTE . IF I WAS A GUEST I WOULD BE LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF; WITH THE 3 YEAR OLD GLARING AT ME . WONDERING WHAT'S MY PROBLEM AND SHOULD SHE MAKE ME STAND IN THE CORNER OR WRING MY NECK ! IF I WAS FAMILY , I WOULD BE DOWN RIGHT EVIL , NOT ONLY LAUGH, BUT RECORD THE FULL THING , SCREENING IT ON THE THREE YEARS OLD' OWN WEDDING , OR HAVE SOMEONE ELSE SCREEN IT.

That sounds so precious. I bet the wedding party and the guests were all giggling and oohing and ahhing. Would have been great if it had been captured on video.
