My aunt is a single mother on disability. She has a son who will be going to college next semester. He will be attending a community college but they still need the financial aid. Does anybody know of any types of aid that are available for them?

Pell Grant is available, assuming that family income is below a certain threshhold. Other grants and scholarships may also be available. Definately have the student-to-be complete the fafsa form, which is required to become eligible for the Pell grant, and many other forms of aid.

Go to your local library or college library and ask the librarian about the books on scholarships/grants for school. There are books that give info on these that are around 3 inches thick!

The best grant is the Pell Grant, go to www.studentaid.ed.gov and you can see how to apply and find more information on grants and student loan programs. The pell grant gives you money based on your parents' income.
