Depending on the laws of the state in which you live, you can change any of your legal names by deed poll.
Phone your local town hall and find out your laws, rights and obligations where it concerns names.
Deed poll is the least expensive and least complicated of ways to change names. Look it up and do the steps one by one.
You need to be an adult to do this, or if under the legal age, you need a parent or guardian to approve what you are doing by signature.
Good luck

Believe me, it could be worse. In our town, we have two different doctors whose last names could be taken as referring to homosexuality. There is a Dr. Gay, and a Dr. ****.
One of my neighbors has the first and middle name of Enola Gay, which is the name of the WWII bomber. She prefers to be called Gay, and that leads to interesting conversations. I remember when we were both at a previous property. The landlord was introducing her, and said, "She's Gay." Another tennant was like, "Well, if that is how she wants to be, I won't judge, but what is her name?"
As for your question, yes, you can change your name. It isn't too hard to do. If you know the process in your state, you do not need an attorney. Your best bet would be to go to your local library and look for the laws in your state on name changes. Generally, you may need to create up to 4 documents. You'd need an application to change your name, a petition to change your name, and 2 notarized affadavits. The affadavits would state that those filling them out have known you for so long, that you live in the same county as they, and that you are of good character (ie., not running from the law or from bill collectors). The petition may stay in the hallway of the courthouse for 10 days. If nobody objects within that period of time, there is a closed hearing and your name is ordered to be changed. There is a filing fee, but that isn't too bad. If you do it with an attorney, you will need to pay their fee and also the filing fee.

Yeah so, you can tell we all want to know the name now right?
Anyway, eventually your last name will mean something to you... It may be embarassing now, but think about how you'll feel in 20 years... You'll miss it. Besides, if people think it's cool, and you have your own theme song because of it, it can't possibly be that horrible...

No dude, that's awesome. Don't change that.
I would just die to have my last name be Batman. As it is I have Adams... and I used to get a ton of Addams family jokes...
Besides it could be worse... My favourite weird last name is Macadangdang... i've forgotten the actually spelling, but that's it phonetically... It was in my friend's yearbook....

Okay, you must share now. You can't ask a question like this and not say what the name is...come on, I won't make fun.
Batman is awesome. For reals.
My favorite embarrassing last name: Boobletz. I say it all the time. Like a swear word. Only better. And it's real.

You'll find the older you get, the more your last name means something to you. I have known some people with awful names, but they all tend to not care in the long run. Look at mine - I am not asian, but hungarian and there doesnt seem to be anyone with my last name that isnt from the Pac-Rim...
So, call yourself all you want, but don't worry about your name. It is part of who you are.

yes, it's possible. The paper work is pretty simple, submit it, then go to court, the court hearing lasts about 10 mins. It's easy and well worth it.

I used to hate my last name, Friskey. You can imagine what it was like in high school ("Are you REALLY frisky?") and then when I got my first apartment and was told not to put my whole name in the phone book because then people would know I was a woman. So, not thinking I had them put... Friskey, BJ ....Well, you can just imagine what kind of crank phone calls I got...Anyway I love my name and have kept it through 2 marriages. I AM friskey and proud of it!!!!

If you want to change your last name, go through the process.
One of my family members didn't like her middle name, which was a very nice name, and she invested time and money to give herself the name she liked.
No need to suffer through life about this!

You can only change your name if you are 18 or older.
I had a bad time with my last name too,but I took it back when I divorced. My marriage was more of a horror than my last name!
Mabey you will change your mind about it when you are older.

Sure, with your Mom's permission and about $150. Listen, my maiden name was Evemeyer. I was called Eve Meyer, Evenmeyer, Edenmeyer, Edemeyer, Evameyer, and in high school, they called me Eagle Biter....so get over it!! I've been married 3 times and I finally found a name NO one can mispronounce!
