Ooh! I think there is so much I don't know about Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. Religion is such a deep thing... it takes a lifetime to really learn what one is all about, and after many years of faithful observance and inquiry, I have only just begun to plumb the depths of my own religion (Mormonism).
I only know snippets here and there of the other major religions. I would love to learn and experience all of them, just to know what it was like.... what it felt like when the religion was practiced, etc.

Islam. Not in the least bit interested. My opinion about religion is the same as all other forms of lemming worship. It is a control system for people's minds. This world would be a better place without any religion. And for those tired arguments about "what about morals?" I would respectfully refer you to statistics. Religion has no bearing on morals. If anything, if the Inquisition, Auto-da-fe, the Crusades and the meddling of the Conquistadors and Spanish missionaries are any indication, it is the antithesis of moral behavior.

I do not know a lot about the Shinto religion. I have only read the mythological stories (I love mythology), but books on the subject as well as meeting people that practice the religion are rare in my area. While I do know some things about it, I'm always striving to learn more. Plenty of books on its mythological stories, but not much else. :( What I have learned about Shinto has come from the internet (BBC Religion & Ethics Page, Religious Tolerance website, and Sacred Texts Online)

Buddhism, because it never really interested me all that much. I basically know only that Buddha was vegetarian, because at my favorite Chinese restaurant, there's a little picture of him by the veg-friendly dishes. Also that he isn't a God, but a teacher.
I guess if I felt a need to learn, I would. I didn't learn about Islam until after 9/11, like many American people. (I just thought women were treated horribly in the Middle East and knew they had to cover up.) I have begun to learn about Hinduism as a polytheistic, goddess-worshipping tradition. And I learned some about Judaism because I went to a middle school with a lot of Jewish kids, and I had this little purple Bat/Bar Mitzvah dress for all my friends' ceremonies. I horrified my relatives by wanting to become Jewish myself. :-)

Kenny, Hindus have RESPECT for the cow they do not worship her.
I would be interested in learning about Scientology from a Scientologist so I can seperate the media hooplah from the actual belief. I don't have an opinion on it as yet other than its tenents are no more ridiculous than believing in a man who hears a bush on fire talking to him!!
I agree with the woman who said once she learned about the Eastern religions, the Western ones seem so silly...it's true!

Taoism, and I'd love to learn more about it. I know the least about it because it's small enough to barely qualify as major. It was barely covered in my religion classes.
Taoism interests me, but I wouldn't say I have an opinion about it.

Probably Islam and the Koran ( I hope I spelled that right).
I do not have an opinion because I have no basic understanding of the religion itself. I was raised Roman Catholic, however, I would like to understand this religion more because it has had such an impact in our time and in history.

I as also you, know least about the riligion of the soul ie
Spiritual Science. Imagine the most important religion which is common to all of us, is just neglected by us.
It is convenient to do that, but the saints will tell us that, we actually are in serious trouble not practicing it. But since we call ourselves highly educated, how we can trust the saints?

I'm not exactly sure if this is classified as a religion these days but, I would like to learn more about Wicca. It sounds pretty interesting to me and yes, I would like to know more about it. The reason that I don't know more about it is because I'm not very religious and I am also a Christian.

I know the least about the Bahai religion. I used to go to a school that was based on the Bahai religion. I remember having many holidays for it. One of my Bahai friends said that in their religion, everyone of every other religion is welcome. Just recently, another friend of mine (who is also Bahai) explained a bit about it and said that they believe Jesus has a descendant but thats it. I think it is a mix of many religions, with different names but similar stories.
