Jesus is real
In the Qur'an Allah states the sayings of the people of the hell fire on the Day of Resurrection.
'They all come forth unto their Lord. Then those who were despised say unto those who were scornful: We were unto you a following, can ye then avert from us aught of Allah's doom? They say: Had Allah guided us, we should have guided you. Whether we rage or patiently endure is (now) all one for us; we have no place of refuge.' (Qur'an 14:21)

Before you tell her anything, you should make sure that you have proof that Jesus isn't real. The Easter Bunny and Santa Clause are made up by adults, Jesus is a real part of the worlds history. Why was this child told about Jesus in the first place if the parents didn't believe? Sounds like this child may grow up with some issues.

If you have already taught her that he was a real person alive "out there somewhere", then you will be seen as a villian if you tell her "oh by the way we were LYING to you". Why not instead tell her that "many people believe" this or that about Jesus. Tell her what you believe as well as what others believe in their faiths that are different than yours. That way she will have the opportunity to explore it as myth or as whatever she decides Jesus to be. This way she gets she can do the thinking for herself later on. Don't make a big deal about it.

I dont go to church, but tell me, where is the proof that Jesus is a myth? I think that attending church in your younger years is great because the teachings relate to our morals, and what could be better than being able to raise a child with high morals in this day and age. Then when she is older she will be able to work out whether she still wants to attend...a decision done all by herself, not forced upon by parents that dont believe. I favour this attitude for religion and also for politics....let them make their own judgements and decisions.

Jesus is an actual real person. He however was not meant to be worshiped as he is in todays society. He wasn't born to a virgin mother or an of that. He was married to Mary M.
Dr. Michael Ryce whom I've met and heard speak has done significant research and translations of the original Aramic texts that explain how Jesus really was. This is what I know however if she wants to tell her she can. Maybe though you should let her believe that and find out for herself.

Nobody today has met any of the prophets of the past. Nor Jesus.
It's only culture and word of mouth that keeps their stories alive.
If their stories and lessons are honourable, what difference does it make whether they actually lived? So long as the lessons are valid, that's all that matters.
How a child should be brought up depends on the level of self-love and self-loathing the parents have for themselves.
And only the parents can truly answer that question. Good luck on the soul search!

Unlike Santa or the Easter bunny, Jesus may have actually existed. Let them ask and decide the answer for themselves when the time comes.
Children should be taught their parents belief structure, but also told that just because I/we believe this or that, other people have other beliefs, when you are old enough, you will be able to decide these things for yourself.

What is wrong with you? Jesus' existence is a historical fact. You might as well tell her that you don't exist.
Do not try to keep a child from learning about Jesus. Your anger toward God should not be used as an excuse to tell anyone lies. When you are not equipped to give someone accurate and truthful information, I would recommend that you restrain yourself.
I ask you not to engage in the abusive behavior you indicated in your comments above. I pray that God grants you and the little girl you are planning to abuse a great many blessings.

Are you just some asstard that is trying to get a rise out of people?
First of all, Jesus was a real person. He may not have been the miracle person we have been taught in church but he was a real person. He was an inspiration to thousands and that has turned to millions. He is the basis for many religions. Some classify him as God the Father, the Holy Ghost, and Jesus Christ.
You my friend are a moron.

under the circumstances I would have told her about Jesus first... there is no harm in letting a child beleive in santa or the easter bunny... it's fairy tale.. but Jesus is a religious icon which change the way we look at the world. I would have told her long ago... maybe it won't be as hurtful as santa or easter bunny...they give us things you know.
