I'm designing a tattoo at the moment but am wondering if this would be weird.
A tree and the branches sort of twist around each other and at the end of the branch it curls around and in there (in the curled over branch) I will put a star sign of a family member. Its sort of a tree/vine type thing.
The thing that i think may be weird is becuase it'll by my mums, dads, brothers and one of my brothers kids star sign (my brother and his kid will be next to eachother)
Generally when you have a tattoo its of your kids (i dont have any) but family are a big thing to me.
I'm not sure if i definately want star signs or something else to show each family member.
What do you all think? Ideas etc.
And is it weird that it'll be my family members etc?

there is nothing weird about getting a tattoo to represent your family regardless of who they are. i have one that represents a part of my family and i am planning on another to cover more members of my family, none of them children because i don't have any either. as long as the tattoo has a special meaning in your life then get it if that's what you want. just be sure to go to a talented artist so you will get something worth having. not all artists are talented.

Thats not werid... People tattoo mom on there bodies all the time and most of the time there still living if they can do that theres no reason why you couldn't do it.. just make sure its what you really want before you get it... think about it and if in a month you still like it then go for it!

No. I don't date a certain body type. I am attracted to women who resemble others from my past. It's not an overwhelming attraction, but I notice the look alikes first.

Talk it over with your artist.
Sounds like a whole back tattoo.
Lots of guys get a ribbon with
"Family First" just to represent.
Maybe just a shoulder cap.
But if you really need all the names,
have your artist help you draw it up,
for the balance.

sounds cool to me, very original.......but i wouldn't use star signs........use little stars to represent ur family members or apples or some kind of fruit that grows on a tree :-)
u just gave me an idea for my foot, thanks :-) i wont bite ur idea all the way, i like to be unique so ima change a couple of things.

weird?..no..not at all...if anything..it is a wonderful creative tribute of love etc to your family!..nothing wrong with that at all..and the fact you have thought of when/if you have kids you can add to it just shows how creative and loyal you are.

that's not weird.
tattoos are personal, and it's great that yours will mean something!
i think it's ridiculous when people get tattoos to just get tattoos. no meaning. blah.
