Alcoholism
An Inconvenient
Spiritual Truth!
It does not matter whether you are a Christian or not,
if you are an alcoholic then you are being manipulated by evil spirits.
Unfortunately the Christian leaders out there are so blinded by the devil that they cannot offer true help to those who need these types of spiritual assistance, it's easier to send them to AA meetings and psychiatric clinics and hospitals.

During my walk with Jesus Christ I have encountered so many evil spirits behind diseases, such as Cancer, Epilepsy and Aids, as well as Suicide, Homosexuality, Abortion, Addictions. I just don't understand why our Christian leaders have a hard time understanding these facts.
THE BIBLE IS FULL OF EXAMPLES OF DEMON-OPPRESSION AND POSSESSION!
Why can't our leaders understand that then?

Jesus gives us wine every Sunday....it's not really his blood (i hate to burst your bubble)

Anyone who think "evil spirits" live in people that have a disease is a complete moron and should probably read more then just the bible. the last time I heard about "evil spirits" living in people was the witch hunts in Salem. That turned out real well (they weren't really witches either)

It's called life my friend, we have much different struggle then wheh Mr. Jesus was born. How about you learn to deal with the problems of the world, accept people as they are and get off your high horse before someone brings you down the hard way?

I don't understand how the Amish can be so forgiving of a jerk who committed such a crime and theres people like you who will do anything but that?

I hear what you are saying. The truth is, alchohol is very addictive and the devil knows this. So if he sees that a person has an open door in their heart, or a desire to drink, he will put extra emotional pressure on that person to drink. The person will feel very compelled to drink. I mean, alcoholism can exist outside of satan, and I don't think that you are saying that it cannot. But it is the truth that the devil and demons really do work on our weak areas. As the bible says, the devil goes about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he might kill, devour or destroy. He uses the most effective weapons he can find against each person with the one desire of overcoming them to not only keep them from God, but if he can also destroy them, he will love that even more. You are right: many, many of the diseases and sicknesses we encounter are manipulated by Satan. Thankfully, Jesus said, "I have come to destroy the works of the devil". And if in the pursuit of someone's life he ends up ending their life because of their addiction, they will find a wonderfully merciful forgiving God in eternity, who will understand all that the devil did to undermine and destroy them. As to why some religious leaders don't understand that, maybe it is just to frightening to consider, or the leaders are a product of the teaching they received. I think an open heart will always find out the truth and will know that there really is a great war in heaven going on for the souls of mankind. Thankfully, we know that Jesus wins in the end!

The only demons in my world have been physical ailments that were corrected by a doctor. I am a Christian leader who believes evil spirits have nothing to do with those things. Most (excluding cancer and epilepsy) result from bad choices.

Huh?

This kind of archaic notion was demonstrated by modern medicine to be blatantly false. People with alcoholism aren't possessed by demons, they have a genetic predisposition that causes a disease. Epilepsy is epilepsy. AIDS is AIDS. They are not demons. End of story.

Nah, demonization is not responsible for the majority of sins. That type of manifestation is really usually only present in primitive cultures anyway. Seen it firsthand.

But the usual psychiatric stuff is just that...

You know? I GET WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!!
I AGREE!

I think disease comes from people's spirits being so messed up because they hav not allowed Christ to come in and give them PEACE!
Stress causes sicknesses of and in the body.
I think that if you don't know how to fight the demons talking in your ears----by telling them to "SHUT UP!" and calling them "LIAR!"--that they will talk in you r ear with NEGATIVE STUFF till you believe it.

SINGING PRAISE SONGS helps me to make them go away!

By the way--AA and Al-anon groups ARE spiritual ---they are NOT religious--but they are a spiritual meeting where you can talk about 'your god'--as YOU see Him.
They are not psychiatrical meetings--they are the BEST thing that EVER happened to me--and I RECOMMEND AL-anon to anyone who has an alchoholic mate, or family member, or friend.
ANYWAY, the subject at hand, I think pastors try to do their part--ALL they can do is tell you how the Bible says to live to have a peaceful, joy-filled, happy, contented life--and it is obedience to God.

I SOUND LIKE A PREACHER MYSELF--(I'm not)--
but I am STILL learning how to tell satan to 'shut up!'

The Demon of addiction. The Church leaders may like the nice seats and glorious treatment they get. What did Jesus say do what they say but not what they do something like that. To the best of my knowledge you are correct in what your saying. God Bless!
