I need some info on Baptism ASAP. Who participates in the baptism ceremony? What programs are available for parents and godparents prior to the baptism? How is the importance of community is represented through the Sacrament of Baptism in the Catholic Parish? If anyone can help out, I would really appreciate that.

I do not want to guide you on a false religion doing such activities against the living God. There is no child baptism in the bible becasue children still have not committed sins since baaptism is the taking away of sins.

Baptism does not have to be, and usually isn't a mob scene. only God and 3 others are of importance. The Baby, who God accepts as being in His care and free of sin. The God Parents who speak for the child, give its name, and take responsibility in making sure the child is taken care of in knowing Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and usually remember all Birthdays.

The priest will very gently guide you through the ritual. I do hope you are Roman Catholic, for , if not, that can stop the Baptism.

Enjoy it, it is a old and wonderful ritual.

If you want the truth.....Ask a Pagan.

awesome for you dude!
I'm a roman catholic and I can tell you that being baptized is something you'll never ever regret.
well the one recieving the sacrament will be involved, so will the parents (if it is a child), and the godparents.
go to a catholic church and talk to the DRE (director of religious education) and they will tell you what you can do to prepare. I know most churches offer classes and such.

Well once you become baptized you become a part of the Catholic community. Baptism is where God says, "I want you to be my child forever." the priest will baptize you and you will become a beautiful child of God and a part of his community.

God BlessYou Friend!

that baby doesn't even know what hit him/her. How can it count. Catholics are so strange. You have to come of age first before anything you do is held accountable.

Just read below me and carefully think out what's being said here. "Be a child of mine forever"? We are all his children. You have to ask to be saved yourself. babies know of nothing.

Catholic faith is nothing more than a systematic faith. It's all habit forming that makes you numb after a while. There's no spiritual growth in it. That's why I left that church.
