Do you think of yourself that you are more intelligent than God? More better than God? More powerful than God? and you have overpass God? No way. You are only from the dust and return to dust maybe today or tomorrow or maybe some other days. You are not permanent in this wholrd while has no beginning and no end.

God did not create the evil spirit. It just existed to go against God. Remember that in a fight there is always an opponent/. You can not fight without an opponent..

No, God did not create evil. God created the freedom to chose one's own path. The devil (Lucifer) was an Angel. Angels, by creation are good. Then Lucifer made the choice, first to stop following the ways of God, then that he was better then God, and then that he would claim God's creation as his own.

This desire for power began to work on him, and he became sullen and hateful. This further recked havok.

Now some beliefs say that the Race that was the Angels before their time of final chosing, were very advanced technologically, the way we are now. They place with genetics, and brought about many mixed-genetic creatures. This could have resulted in the creation of physical disfiguring traits.

Lucifer is still a very alluring creature from a distance, but up close the foulness of him is beyound nightmarish. He can never go back to what he once was. This adds to his hate, and hostility. This all brings a being to the worse he can become.

If we are not careful, then we too will face this process. We are playing with genetics. We, too, are creating new viruses. We too have genectic altering viruses that can bring disfigurement. We too will face a moment of final choice.

Chances are, that at the end of our time, the angels and demons will cease to exist here, and we will take their places as the servants of God to the next creation. Then we will either be the hope of Good or the curse of Evil.

You better choose now. As tomarrow may be too late.

My interpretation of religion leads me to believe that the Devil is only a metaphor for the evil or bad events in the world that are cause by God's actions. I am not saying that God is evil, I am just saying that some of the things that He must do to provide for good must contain some evil. I know this may sound like something from comic books, but good cannot exist without evil as the idea of sight cannot exist to someone who is born blind. I think that this blend of good and evil is what you would consider God's imagination. I believe that a world created without either good or evil could only occur if God did not have an imagination.

It is my belief that people created both god and the devil. humans are very insignifigant, and in order to feel like they matter and in order to have a purpose, this idea of a higher being came around. the church wanted peoples money and time, so they created the devil as a way of guilting and scaring. This is just my personal opinion. Anyway it goes however, god is alive because god is in peoples hearts and minds. Maybe this idea of god keeps the devil alive. all that aside, it sure leads to some good discussions!

Satan was created as a holy angel. Isaiah 14:12 possibly gives Satan’s pre-fall name as Lucifer. Ezekiel 28:12-14 describes Satan as having been created a cherubim, and was apparently the highest created angel. He became arrogant in his beauty and status, and decided he wanted to sit on a throne above that of God (Isaiah 14:13-14; Ezekiel 28:15; 1 Timothy 3:6). Satan’s pride led to his fall. Notice the many “I will…” statements in Isaiah 14:12-15. Because of his sin, God threw Satan out of heaven.

Satan became the ruler of this world that functions apart from God, and the prince of the power of the air (John 12:31; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2). He is an accuser (Revelation 12:10), a tempter (Matthew 4:3; 1 Thessalonians 3:5), and a deceiver (Genesis 3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:3). His very name means adversary or “one who opposes.” Another name used for Satan, the devil, means “slanderer.”

Even though he was cast out of heaven, he still seeks to elevate his throne above God. He counterfeits all that God does, hoping to gain the worship of the world and foment opposition to God's kingdom. Satan is the ultimate source behind every false cult and world religion. Satan will do anything and everything in his power to oppose God, and those who follow God. However, Satan’s destiny is sealed – an eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).

Yes. My proof? Creation. Stars, animals, humans, and especially platypuses (those things are ugly!!!) Edit: I did NOT see Joynus's post before I wrote this.

As for the question of "where did evil come from?", I really don't know. It seems that God somehow made evil, though I dodn't know why. If he didn't make evil, how did Lucifer, now the devil, sin? What else was made that God didn't make? If there was someone to make evil, would the Lord let it infect His creation?

In summary, I don't know... yet!

God, it seems has a wonderful imagination....look at the platypus. God didn't create evil, nor did he create the devil as we know him now. God created Lucifer, the most beautiful angel of all the angels. Nothing was wrong with him, but he,Lucifer, got the big head and pride did him in.......thus evil enters the picture. He wanted to be higher than God, and was so full of himself, he thought he could pull it off. But, he got thrown out of heaven along with his followers (1/3 of the angels).

God didn’t create evil. We create evil by being greedy and thinking about only ourselves. If everyone truly treated others with respect and helped other people the world would be a happy place. And as far as the devil…I truly don’t think believe in the devil or hell. God loves all his children. So even if you do wrong... like he is really going to send you to hell to shovel coal. He will forgive you. Plus do you really believe there is a horned devil underground just waiting for you in hell??? Just my opinion I believe that our “true lives” are in heaven as our spirit selves and we come to earth to learn life lessons. When our lessons are learned here on earth we die and if you are a good person/ spirit on earth you get to go back to “heaven” and be back with all your eternal friends and family but if you were an evil/dark spirit while on earth you get reincarnated right away. So instead of getting to go back to heaven/home you instantly enter the womb again to be born again. I also believe you won’t get to go to heaven until you ask for god’s forgiveness. And since god forgives all his children you will get to return to heaven/home again but it could take you several lifetimes to do so. Take it or leave it but this is what I believe.

God did not create Hell or the Devil.
The Seraphim (highest angel ) Lucifer disobeyed God and wanted to be supreme . God was angry and banished him from heaven , Lucifer then fell to a deep abyss and stayed their for a long time . That was how Hell was created . God didn't create hell the Devil did. As for evil , people had the power of free will and chose what they wanted to do with it , some chose to do good and others chose to do evil.

In Christianity, the Devil is named Satan, sometimes Lucifer. He is a fallen angel who rebelled against God, and is now roaming the Earth. He is identified by Christians with the serpent in the Garden of Eden, whose lies led to original sin and the need for Jesus Christ's redemption. He is also identified as the Accuser of Job, the tempter of the Gospels, and the dragon in the Book of Revelation. Traditionally, Christians have understood the Devil to be the author of lies and promoter of evil. Many liberal Christians view the devil metaphorically. It should be noted, however, that much of this history is not biblical; instead, it is a post-medieval Christian reading of the scriptures influenced by medieval and pre-medieval Christian popular mythology.
