If you believe in Christ---THAT makes you a Christian.
So do you believe in CHRIST--or do you believe in yourself?

Science is not a religion by any stretch of the imagination, not even Ann Coulter's.
As a theologian, I can say these are dramatically different proposals. Science requires hard proof, the "seen". Religion relies on faith, the "unseen".
Proposing that science is a religion is merely a way to spark nonsensical debate among intractable groups which was Ann Coulter's purpose. That's what she does. I am amazed at how many fall for it.
Science and religion coexist. You realize there are scientists who are Christians, Muslims, etc., right? One does not exclude the other.
Examples: The Bible mentions, in the Old Testament, the earth being hung in the sky by God. This was written long before any scientific proof. Science once held that the earth was flat. Science later proved that wrong.
If you argue that trains and planes are scientific achievements, someone else can argue that God created everything in six days. Everything includes all the raw materials to make trains and planes. And, let's not forget that one can argue that God created man and gave him the intelligence to invent and build trains and planes.
This is a never ending argument if one takes an immovable position. It is a ridiculous argument and I am being kind.

Trout Fishing is a religion if you use one of its many definitions that states,"A cause, a principle, or an activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion."
I dislike AC but unlike her I try to speak so others Do Not get only the impression I want to give them rather than the truth.
Being of the Lore and somewhat educated, I have met Scientist that make Pat Robinson look like a cuddly cat when it comes to selling their beliefs,,,,but I've never met one who tried to send someone to the Christian created Hell, because they couldn't quite believe in Valence theories moving holes of nothingness.
I'm scientifically developing a hypothesis that those who know absolutely that something isn't true when dependent on a word have never bent the spine of a common dictionary, because that is my religion.

Think about it a little.
I'm a Biologist and do not agree that science is a religion, however, to many people who did'nt recieve education, ando some who did, science just got moving too fast. There is too much being learned too fast and people can't keep up. As a result they tend to just accept what the guy in the white coat say as being supreme truth, now that dosen't sound like science, does it?
Its a serious problem, i believe, not just some thing that half a dozen radicals are babbling.
And of course there are always those people hwho do mistake sience for absolute truth which it isnt........

First of all Ann Coulter is NOT a fundamentalist Christian. If she claims she is, she's lying. She even published a book with a sinful title. Devil something. Who knows. She's a liberal atheist, at least it seems that way from her whole persona.
Second. Religion is about faith/belief. Science is about fact/law/mathematics/reason.
The two have nothing to do with each other.
Science produced cars, skyscrapers, fires, planes, trains,...everything. Not religion.
Religion cannot produce anything material like that b ecause it does not teach the skills required to produce that.
Religion has nothing to do with science.
Religion won't stop a heart attack or cure one, or cancer.
The two shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
Society is just stupid.
Don't buy into people just because they're big shots.

Science really isn't a "faith." Science is about the observation of our surroundings, drawing conclusions, and testing those conclusions to prove or disprove them.
Religion is just the opposite - it's what you believe to be true, but can't prove either way.
In my opinion, the two really aren't in conflict with each other. I'm both a Christian (a Roman Catholic) and a science major.
The scientist asks "how did we get here?" The theologian asks "why are we here?"

Most of science is based on fact, and is not a religion. When you start going beyond what you can prove by fact, you get into the religion area. Thus, science is a tiny bit religion for some people, while religion is all religion for those who believe in something backed up by no facts whatsoever.

I don't know where you heard that. Science is not religion. Religion addresses things that cannot be investigated by science. There is no way for science to tell us what happens to us after death. In the same manner, there is no way for science to explain our origin. Nobody observed it, and science cannot duplicate it. It is outside the realm of science.
Evolution is religion, since it is based on faith, not observation I don't know why so many people have a problem understanding this.
Science is based on observation, repeatability, and falsifiability. It it hasn't been observed, cannot be duplicated, and cannot be falsified, it ain't science.

Christians are a group of believer who care only to share the Word, the Love and the encouragement of and from God..Christians don't make things like your religion does our work is spiritual which also makes our life good, we love the Lord and we serve Him.. your work is materialist and people can enjoy living a good life, the questions is do you believe in God, if not then that right there is a big difference between ours and yours.

God created the human mind, complete with its ability to both imagine the technological marvels you list, and to create them from the materials God provided on and in the earth.
The only science that is a religion is the "science" that does not answer to the scientific method which dictates the use of controlled experimentation to test hypothesis to determine fact.
Unproven theory-tales and hypothesis that are either unproven or unprovable cannot be considered "science", if the word "science" is incorrectly applied to these, it is at that point that it becomes religion.

Religion gave us freedom (the push to end slavery came from Christians). They gave us hundreds of thousands of charitable organizations operating all over the world, including groups like the Red Cross, AA, and the Salvation Army.
Now, lets look at what the science community has done against us-poisons, medicines like Thalidamide that cause horrible birth defects, weapons of mass destruction, and Eugenics, which the Nazis twisted into racial purity. Cars damage the atmosphere, the internet is destroying our sense of community and allowing pedophiles to trade kiddie porn among themselves, and TV gave us The Simple Life. I rest my case.
