You have multiple choices.
First, do you even want to take your dog with you? If the answer is clearly "no" (for whatever reason), then this addresses one issue.
The second choice is to hire a sitter. This is someone who will come by your house up to three times a day to walk and feed your dog. I had this done for my last dog many times all with wonderful results. A person I trusted (and paid - work that out before-hand, it can be a friend, neighbor or an actuall dog-sitting service), would come by in the morning, evening and late night to let me dog out (walk him), feed him appropriately and pay him some attention. Dog-sitting works well as your dog will be in his own environment, even though you aren't there. This will decrease his stress.
Another choice is a kennel. Day cares may not allow overnight stays - so check that out first. Second, as you already know, many do not allow un-neutered males. But not all are that way. The only way to find out is to call each day care in your area, finding out their price and restrictions. If no day care works, then call kennels. Kennels are nice in many ways as the dogs are isolated. They can see other dogs, but they each have their own rest area and their own outside area. He won't get as much exercise and play time as he might in a day care, but at least he will be properly cared for. Again, find out their pricing.
Once you find a proper service that suits you (in terms of price, time, trust, etc.), then you can proceed.
The last alternative is to quickly get your dog neutered, so that you can consider overnight day-cares. Unless you are a breeder (and I highly doubt you are, otherwise, this topic wouldn't be an issue for you), get your dog neutered. Your dog will be healthier and have a far less chance of cancer (prostate or testicular) once he is neutered. He will also be less aggressive and won't try to dominate as much. Once he is neutered, you can also rest assured that he won't impregnate any dog. Also, his desire to roam will decrease (or end) and hence his chance of getting hurt by running away will decrease. Once your dog is neutered, more options may open for you. Oftentimes, neutering is done for free or at a discount by your local Humane Society.
Good luck and enjoy your trip!

Neuter your dog. He'll be happier and you can get him into Daycare. You probably won't find a doggie day care that will take an unneutered male.
We don't at my doggie daycare. We can't, the interactions between neutered males and unneutered males is not good and very disruptive.

You should get him neutered and leave him at the doggie daycare. I used to work in a doggie daycare, dogs really do enjoy themselves there. It's a fan and safe place for them to intereact with others. Just make sure that you do your research and visit the doggie daycare in person before you leave your dog there. Make sure that it's a good, clean safe, place.
Also neutered dogs make better pets. They are more calm and have less health problems.

I believe you should simply persist with the training. Considering your puppies will not be alone always and they get a lot workout routines. Once in a while, I take my puppies to the doggie day care in view that I work full-time . I pay $25 for 8 hours per canine and i've three dogs. You could perpetually use the doggie day care if you ought to work full-time at some point.

Try putting him in a kennel. They will need records of all his shots, and I don't know if they have requirements on neutering. Doggy daycare isn't for overnights. Ask friends with pets, get some good reccommendations for a good kennel, then call, ask lots of questions, and some will even let you come and look around. Good luck.

Ask your vet if he knows of a doggie daycare that will accept your dog. Also, ask him if knows of an individual that boards dogs at his/her house and is responsible enough to keep your dog while you are out of town.
If he does, make sure you call the person several times during while you are away to make certain your dog is well and happy.

Most vets have a doggy day care. Check the yellow pages. Call and see if they accept your dog. Not get upset when you call. You might get a no but there is others. Have you asked family and friends? You could always put a ad in the paper.

Sounds like it to me you have two choices!! One you take the dog with you or you stay home!!!!
When we become dog owners we have to worry about our dogs before anything else!!!!
Having a 2 year old dog and he isn't neutered???? I don't have to say a word!!! All dogs should be spayed or neutered. Have you heard that dogs live longer and are healthier when they are fixed???
Day care centers don't come cheap. plus your poor dog wouldn't like being there anyway!!! I have seen where people leave their dogs in places like that and they are never the same!!! Some day cares take very good care of the dogs but not all do.
You have to look into day care centers just like you would if you were looking into one for your child!! not all day care centers are good!!
Just take your poor dog with you!! Then you know it will be well taken care of. I know you might not be able to go and do like you want but your dog should come first!!
Good Luck!!

Check with your vet, a lot of vets offer kennel services for when you go out of town. Also look in the phone book under kennel, but definitely go and check the place out first. Another thing you can check into, there's a lot of pet sitters out there now. My mother in law does that for her animals. She pays the lady a fee(not sure what it is) to go to the house to walk, feed, play with the animals a few times a day.
