I am driving from upstate NY for a Yankees game and would love to find a safe park & ride. I would need to park my car overnight and take a train into Penn Station. I am staying with a friend in Brooklyn, so I can't drive to the game and then drive to Brooklyn. I've been searching on the net with no success. Please help!

Well depending on where you are coming from (upstate is a big place) you can take metro north which goes into Grand Central, although if you're going straight to the game you can get off at 125th street and walk one block to take the 4 train back up to the stadium. There are several lines but the two that are likely closest to you would be either the Harlem line or the Hudson line. Both lines have stations with meter and/or overnight parking available although some stations have more spots or more convenient parking. It would help to know where you are coming from to give you more specifics but if you click on the link below you can find the lines and figure out which one is closest to you. Then click on the station name to find out parking availability. Keep in mind that many stations, particularly the further north you are, have free parking on the weekends. Conversely, on the weekdays their spots fill up fast very early in the morning so it will also depend on what day you wanted to do this. Now, bags won't be allowed in the stadium so you either have to be an ultra-minimalist packer or use the parcel service at Grand Central or go to Brooklyn first depending on how much stuff you have. Enjoy the game, the Yanks need all the support they can get. http://www.mta.info/mnr/html/planning/schedules/index.html

My buddy, there are various parking centers close to the Poughkeepsie practice, the place you are able to park your motor vehicle for various days for a pair of dollars. From the Poughkeepsie, you are able to hop on Metro-North's Hudson Line to Grand significant. A around holiday off-height fee ticket on the commuter practice will fee you $30. On city, you may get around by technique of subway. The fare on the subway is merely $2.25, however, in case you would be doing countless vacationing around the city i'd recommend purchase a weekly endless holiday MetroCard for $29, that's a extensive funds saver. i desire this suggestions is incredibly useful. solid success community New Yorker

why don't you drive to bklyn and ask your friend in bklyn where you could park near her/him? Maybe there is a garage near your friends house.
