Alright for one they are harmless to humans, and that happened 17 years ago alright there may be a differance depending on the area in which you live in. Also, it's not even granted that will show up tomorrow they may show up in your neighborhood the day after tomorrow or so on. They are related to the locust and are loud but harmless. If you honestly have a phobia of them the best adive since they are everywhere is to stay away from trees and wlaking on grass for too long, and if your walking outside you should probabaly wear a hoodie or a sweatshirt just incase. They are here for 6 weeks so hope things work out for you. Keep in mind they are all over the USA but some may get lucky and have like 1 or two actually live.

Brood XIII is the Northern Illinois brood, right?
As far as I know, they don't even reach southern Ill. let alone Tenn.
Now XIV next year....another story. Any you get this year will most likely be one year earlies (common occurrence).

brood xiii should be mostly in northern illinois, and parts of iowa, wisconsin, indiana and michegan, but not as far south as tennessee
