Why is it that Christians get bashed no matter what the question is. DON'T MAKE A DRINK YET. LOL

This is a spiritual and religious site where we are supposed to be able to be transparant and learn more about each other. The first 3-4 comments (usually) on every Christian post is a hate answer. When you insult my God you insult me. It would be like me insulting you personally.

Do you base your belief system re: all christians due to the "fanatical and rude" responses of some Christians? Most of us are caring, loving, open minded and tolerant individuals. We love ALL people no matter what their belief. For those atheists who slam everyone for no reason, you are just as foolish as the "fanatical and rude" Christians. You give atheists a bad name.

I have found out for myself that there are many very nice, caring atheists that I have become acquainted with and correspond with. They put you haters to shame.

Please quit the hating - your words are offensive and hurtful.

Don't ever take anything Personal, if you only loved those that loved you what would you gain ? Loving someone that hates you or despises you for what you are & what you have, nows that takes understanding & tolerance. God can take care of himself and He never needs someone to Defend Him. Let your Faith be your Armor and Your Spirit be your Way. Offer kindness where there is hatred, Love where there is Spite and others will learn.
When you get in an argument with non believers you just fuel their animosity & anger. Patience little one. God has His own Time & His own way

Let just put it this way, some people sugar coat their response, others don't.

If you think most Christians are what you had described, you are perhaps seeing it on the side where you are a christian. Perhaps you would like see it on the other side of the wall. I had been at both ends.

Had you ever bothered to find out why the answer "Don't make me drink yet?" Perhaps you should.

Tell you what, if I say "If you believed in the bible, you are a fool" ..... how do you feel? I am sure it is not too great .... but atheists gets that a lot .... why? Because the bible says those who does not believe in their god are fools.

While your intentions may be noble your message raises concerns.

Christians can be tolerant. No problem. However when we confuse tolerance with apathy we are making a big mistake.

You should not be cavalier about the fact that there are so many "nice, caring" atheists out there. You do realize that these people are going to burn in Hell if they do not change, right?

Christians should be extremely concerned about the unsaved. Don't fall for the soft and fuzzy "live and let live" nonsense. True Christians know that the unsaved will suffer for eternity. Christians should be doing everything they can to warn these people so that they might avoid this destiny.

If this is not a Christian's primary concern I would doubt the validity of that person's conversion experience.

Most claim it's in retalliation for Christians always condeming people to hell for what they do.

And I have to admit many Christians seem to be judgemental.

If R&S serves any purpose to Christians and Muslims and Jews it is to show them how a segement of society views them in all honesty.

One quote here that has been used more than once comes from Ghandi, who said the problem with Christianity is Christians.

I believe in God and Jesus but don't try and shove it down people's throats.

I like another saying. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

You have a very sweet soul, I know how you feel. I take it personal also, and I'm sure it shows. The best thing we can do is pray, and ask the Lord for a tougher skin. Also, it wouldn't hurt to pray for the few that act so hateful.

God Bless Everyone

You must be new here. Here in yahooland, if you turn the other cheek you get hit twice as hard, so take it in stride. This place is a zoo, and us Christians are the endangered species everybody loves to hate. Get used to it.

one might think that when a christian bombards a thread with scripture and no emotion or real personal opinion (their own words, that is), that they are 'bashing' the non-believers in a way. So it's a two way street.

Depends on the question and how its worded. If it is an honest more respectful question, I will likewise reply in kind. If it's a really stupid and insulting question, I will give a snarky reply.
