Are they new [ red or purple] or old [ silver-white ]?
If they are new - NEVER tan a new scar. It will stay ' tan ' forever, and not the same color as the rest of your tan.
If they are old - they simply don't tan.

Tanning makes stretch marks much more noticable then you would think... I am aware of this for my friend has real bad stretch marks and when she started to tan she saw them look worse.. So be wise and spray tan instead..

I'm a huge fan of self-tanner for that particular problem. If you have fair skin, you will just fry in a tanning bed. A lot of the new self tanners don't make you orange. I love Aveda products and they happen to have a tanner that made me look like i had a real tan from the sun~ and i'm super pale.
Those moisturizers, that make you tan gradually, also do the trick.

It might! Tanning does help your skin look more even and reduces the appearance of cellulite so it may help with stretch marks. It cant hurt to try. And you might want to try a spray on tan first since theyre a lot safer than traditional beds

No, it makes the stretch marks look lighter. Try using cocoa Butter to make them lighter first and then get a tan.
If you have very pale skin, you need to stay out of the sun. Wear a Sarong around your hips at the pool or beach. It will conceal them and make you look very nice also.

No. Tanning makes stretch marks more visible. This is because stretchmarks have a lack of pigment, which causes them to remain white while the rest of your body tans naturally.

i think that tanning lotion would work better because you can control where it goes better and the thing to do would be to only put it on ur strech marks to even out the lines.... try to darken the marks more to make them blend if you over do it then you can tan the rest of you too.
