I ask this because in my previous question, someone thought that disagreeing with God on sexual issues was a big sin. So, even if you aren't a homosexual, but think homosexuality is AOK, then you are sinning? How exactly do you repent from that? One doesn't really change what they think is right or else it goes against their morals and values.
along with this would be pre-marital sex issues too I suppose.

first answerer, this is not an issue on the right or wrongness of homosexuality, it's an issue on is it a sin to think that it's not a sin.

I do not believe that you have to change your beliefs to fit someone rules.

Thinking is not a sin. Acting on your thoughts are.

The question isn't ignorant but the majority's attitudes are. As an example there is the big and bad word about "women lying with women and men lying with men".......this is an "abomination." Abomination is usually in shivery capitals. However, the Hebrew word and a modern dictionary state the word means "disgusting, loathsome, or repellent," but there is a complete lack of the words sin or damnation.
I don't find it logical that a sin would come into play for saying AOK to something that a God has only called disgusting, loathsome, or repellent, but not sinful.
You know, it is rather like the saying about over-reacting,"The Admiral Sneezed, so they gave the fleet flu shots."

First of all a sin is a sin. There are none that out weigh the others. Homosexuality IS a sin, just like murder or adultery the bible even says so. To even think that a sin is ok is a sin as well because you're taking part in disobedience or rebellion. See, if someone gives you instructions to do a specific job and you do say 85% of what they asked you to do is the job complete? Did you do what they asked you to do? No, to both questions. The same holds true to a relationship with God in the position of our parent. If He asks you to not be a homosexual (and He has) and you take part in this in any form then you are being disobedient.
99.5% obedience
with .5% disobedience
_____________________
100% disobedience
What you'd be doing is ignoring what the true meaning of those actions entail. You're agreeing that darkness should and can overtake light and that's just not feasible. It's like watching a robbery then opening the door yourself so that the robber can escape. Would you do that as well? Just asking,
I hope that this has been a help

No, I don't consider homosexuality a sin, so obviously I don't consider that opinion a sin. (Incidentally, nothing in either the commandments or the '7 deadly sins' mentions homosexuality. And Corinthians 6 is Paul expressing his own opinions, not the word of God.)

It would be a sin against God if you felt he caused it, he caused one to be born against his plan. Homosexuality is a choice, it may have been an innocent choice, but a choice. Children often choose and forget that they chose it. I do think that some people have agreed to be homosexual before they were born. You have heard that God knows all that will happen. It is already written. So God knew there would be some people that would choose to be attracted to their own gender, and for this reason it would be reasonable to think he,God, had some people that agreed to be homosexual in their lifetime to fulfill the will of God . I do think it would be people that would also have a plan, and their plan would include coming out of the homosexual lifestyle as well if they were to follow Gods will for them. The best gift one could receive out of this situation is to help lead others out of this homosexual lifestyle for Gods will.
It is ok to pray for the homosexual, pray that they will be lead out of this lifestyle, and love them as your neighbor even.

Sin is a completely subjective concept. In other words, "sin" isn't a law of the universe, but an idea that some people believe in and others do not. This is true and correct even if you disagree.
When asking about "sin" in a forum like this, one really needs to specify which religion they're talking about. In my religion, there IS no "sin," period.

Homosexuality is NOT a sin. Accepting or supporting homosexuality is NOT a sin. There are genetic explanations why people are homosexuals. To say that homosexuality is a sin is tantamount to saying that epilepsy is a sin. Both homosexuality and epilepsy are determined by one's genes at birth. People who are homosexuals or have epileptic seizures cannot help what they are...so how is that a sin?

There's all kinds of ways to compromise ones self. The first step down that road begins with the subtle suggestion that what God has said is sin, really isn't that bad of a thing. It
worked like a charm for the Shining One in the garden, and is still having stunning success today.

You know I think it's a lot more important how you treat people, then how you treat there actions, if that makes sense. There were a lot of things that Jesus didn't think were right, prostitution, distortion for collecting taxes etc. The people he was hard on though, weren't prostitutes or tax collectors, the people he was hard on were the overly judgemental religious leaders. There are more people in the second group who are against homosexuality then in the first. I wouldn't sweat it too much, if I were you. P.S. I'm straight

I don't know if its a sin. I think a person has decided that there is nothing wrong with it in their estimation.
Still Scripture states "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs and tries the heart Prov. 21:2
What is your motive for thinking its okay?
