I wanted to know if it hurt to break a bone such as an arm, leg, ankle, or wrist. Like i know it hurts. But at first can you feel it. or does the pain kick in after? how long after? also what does it feel like? like does it hurt more then getting your hand closed on a door? etc. Thanks!

It does hurt to break a bone, on a pain scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst I would say that when I broke my wrist it was like a 3 or 4, but I still do have some pain from it four years later which it's now believed that arthritis formed. The initial hurt from falling out of the swig hurt, but after wards it began to hurt worse, which was only about 15 minutes after wards. I'd say that getting your hand shut in a door is different type of pain so it's hard to compare them. My wrist mostly throbbed, but it hasn't been the worst pain in the world...I have a neurological condition called RSD/CRPS which doesn't even compare to how little the pain is of my broken wrist because the pain is so severe that I have from just something touching my leg. I've also had 4 spine surgeries, a battery replacement in my hip (for my SCS), and a knee surgery so I really wouldn't say that a broken wrist hurts too bad, but for most people it's pretty painful.

you are not thinking to break any part of your body
for some hidden purpose do you!!!
really if you are thinking about that just to attracts some one's attention or to skip something
just dont its not worthy
because the pain and the way the broken part heal
it never be the same again
other wise
it hurts too much
you will barely can stand the pain
till the doctor will give you pain killers
then while you are in the cast
you will miss alot
till you heal up again
and in case the broke is really serious you might wont be able to get functional A quickly and it will take time
so breaking body parts is a very bad thing
wish no one would ever experience that

It is agonizing pain that does not go away.It hurts like hell. I broke my ankle in 3 spots . Yes you will know right away but the next day is even worse. You can not walk on it no matter what you do.It is intense killing pain.It does hurt more than getting your hand closed on a door. Trust me I've done both.I do not want to either again though.

I broke a toe a couple times ,years ago. it hurt for a while. I really can't say for any bigger bones, probably a lot more steady pain.

I think it is definitely emotional pain because if you are hurt inside, it hurts the most. yes, i agree physical pain can be treated. but emotional pain can stay for long, and hurt you more. when you're physically hurt, somtimes people dont know that you are even hurt, but in physical pain, they do know. Emotional pain is more worse. good question though. =)
