Even as I type this the only thing I can think about is killing myself. It could take a week before I can get an appointment with a shrink qualified to deal with my incredibly messed up head. I don't know if I can survive a week without dying by my own hand and I don't want to go to a regular emergency room because that place is for better people than me. They have very few beds as it is. What if they bring in some dying child and I'm there taking up the last bed like a damn ***hole!? Can't even consider it.

What options are left?

I'm totally serious and you have no ****ing clue how difficult it is for me to come up with a reason to get through a single day. I'm now running out of reasons.

Focus on the one thing that has kept you alive thus far. The thing that has given you hope and kept you from killing yourself.

If you feel you cannot not act on your urges, call your local suicide helpline and talk to someone.

Hang in - you can do it. I was like that a few years ago - it was so hard to hang in until my next doctor's appointment, I felt like I was hanging on a flexed arm hang.
If you live near a psychiatric hospital, you are allowed to go directly there and say you are feeling suicidal. Hotlines also help. You won't be taking up a bed from a kid at a regular hospital, nobody gets turned away. If a hospital is the only way you can stay alive, then do it.
What helped me was calling hotlines. Watch movies if you can, even for a little bit. You will feel better once you get the help you need. I thought I would never be able to make it but I made it through and I'm 1000000% happier. If I can do it you can so hang in!

When I was feeling sucidical, I went to the hospital, and although I had to wait a couple of hours, nobody blamed me for using up a bed. I know how you feel though, because I wrote a note explaining exactly why I was feeling sucidical, and I felt like I was wasting paper by writing that down. If you're going to kill yourself and then they rush you to the hospital to try and save you, you would be the dying person, wouldn't you?
You don't go to a bed anyways, I had to wait in this pink room (I can't stand the colour pink) and I talked to somebody about how I was feeling, and then they gave me some options on where to go next.
Good luck, and just know there's hope, even though you might not see it yet.

Dude, what's up? I checked out your profile and i'm sending you an electronic hug. Hang in there man. gonna be alright ya know? There's some stuff you gotta remember:
1. You're a cool guy that's here for a reason. Probably a lot of reasons.
2. Don't piss God off. Killing one of his creations would really piss him off, and you are one of His.
3. He loves you, I love you too and i haven't even met you yet.
4. Whatever is making you feel this way- whatever **** has happened in your life- you CAN overcome it. You can do this. Just breathe in, breathe out, repeat.
5. Find joy in the Now. Don't worry about tomorrow. God is in control. Just work on finding little things you enjoy. Things that take away the pain a bit.

Try looking closely at a tree leaf or some kind of flower. Notice the details, the patterns, the touch, the smells. Pay attention to the feel of water on your hands as you wash dishes, the bubbles gently floating in the sink. Feel the tickle of wind across your skin as you pull the moon down with your eyes. Watch children playing in a park, listen to their laughter, their arguments. Listen to other people's conversations in the next booth while you sip a hot cup of coffee, swirling the creamer around while you pretend to read the paper.
Think of all of us out here, listening to you, hearing your pain and wanting you to go on. Don't give up on yourself.
We won't....

Okay, you need to get to the hospital and request a screening for hospitalization. The hospital ALWAYS has capacity for suicidal individuals. Usually they will put you into a room or sometimes give you a bed. You're not taking up space.

If you have a local community mental health call their crisis line immediately. They will also advise you the process to get into an inpatient psychiatric facility or crisis stablization home.

Your mental hx should be your #1 concern. Please take care of yourself.

Rather than presenting at a med/surg ER, how about considering a private psychaitric facility? They can evaluate you 24 hours a day, and can help you determine which level of treatment is most appropriate for you. They are far better equipped to help you manage this very serious condition. It may be the best choice you ever made.

Hang in there,
~M~

Steady. You do NOT have to feel this awful. Call your physician immediately in the morning and discuss this, OK? You WANT to feel better, don't you? Then, make that call and explain to her or him how upset you are. If you feel like you may actually harm yourself, call 911, no if's, and's or but's. Watch this video and deep breathe. Come back next week and add a comment under your question (click on the pencil icon) and let us know how you're doing:

- see a movie. Preferably a funny one.
-call a loved one
-talk with you minister or qny person you respect
-go out and get a large portion of your favorite ice cream
-consider all these answers you have gotten from people who don't even know you and write a thank you note to each and everyone of them
-read the Sunday funnies
-take a walk
-love a lot
-laugh even more
I could continue this list but you might get bored, but I think you get the idea. Do something

What option is left is going to the ER... I promise you, you will not take a bed away from a dying child or anyone better than you.

You need to tell the ER doctor that you want to harm yourself. They will see that you are treated correctly.

Zeek, are you really this depressing in real life or do you like to mess with us? I don't think you want to kill yourself, and I think you like the attention. If you are serious, then it is definitely a good idea to go to the doctor and you should be honest with him and tell him how depressed you are. I have to go, but I hope you get better, Your friend,
Peter L

Bottom liner:L many top shrinks say that everyone is out of their minds. Join the club and know you're working on yourself! Better than my mom and dad who spend a lifetime in denial and lost their son from having abused him continuously.
