Get Rescue remedy form a good health food store.
That being said: Develop a lot of interests and hobbies, volunteer like crazy for various charities you believe in, and meet new people. I promise you won;lt have time for those negative thoughts. It's really about shift ing your context of life to one that's a full meaningful life.

If you dwell on repetitive thought occasionaly, no medication is needed. It's normal.
If it's a constant problem, you may have OCD - obsessive compulsive disorder. You should see a psychiatrist for that. He probably won't give you medication, but it IS treatable.

First, try mantra repetition at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 2. Read the part about negative self-talk, and apply. Replace with: "Focus on what you are doing/going to do".

Walking is the best medication. Don't get yourself hooked on pills....they do nothing good for your insides. Trust me! I work for doctors and really nothing good comes from them.

Your doctor should discuss that with you. If it is OCD, or whatever, he/she should refer you to a Psychiatrist. Then they will prescribe it if you really need it.
