Dont keep junk food in the house. Try filling up on healthy foods high in fiber that will make you feel full. OR if you feel you need to munch even after your full try munching on ice chips or something like that.

Just stop.
Yeah, I know, you could figure that out on your own, but it is the truth.
I have the same issue. I love food. If it tastes good, I just want to keep eating it. I can eat a whole bag of chips, a whole box of Twinkies, enough steak to feed a family of 8, etc. I get full long before I'm done eating, but the taste keeps me eating.
Like you, I am not overweight. In fact, I've always been on the slender side. However, as I age, I have begun to put on some weight, and it is so hard to lose.
So, I just make myself stop eating. Make rules for yourself and stick to them. Make rules about your food portions. Make rules about when and where you can eat. Do not allow yourself second helpings. Try the 100 calorie snack packages and don't eat more than 2 a day ... that seems to be working for me.
This is something that only you can change. Make up your mind to change, and then work on it one day at a time.
You and I have a food addiction, dear. Something that I think about often are those who weigh several hundred pounds and can't get out of bed by themselves. They all say the same thing. They are addicted to food. Just like us.
I know I don't want to end up like that. I don't think you do, either.

You could try portion control by buying smaller size snacks and keeping them in short supply. Instead of getting a large bag of chips, get a snack size (a 25 cent bag). Get those single serve cartons of ice cream. In addition to smaller sizes, don't have too many on hand. You don't want to be tempted to eat 4 bags of smaller chips because that's just as bad as eating an entire big bag.
You could also start writing down everything you eat. It'll give you pause to think of everything you put into your mouth.

I have this problem sometimes. but instead of eating a bowl of chips I get an apple or vanilla yogurt and pineapple. I really have this problem in the summer when i eat supper really late. Drink lots of water and try to grab something healthy if you're going to eat more.
And you're right, it will catch up. Our metabolisms are always changing. Start good eating habits and you'll be fine.
Good Luck!

Before having a meal ( lunch, dinner) eat something before
that has healthy fat, that will help control your appetite. Fiber is also good at slowing the intestine down and any fiber is good. Eat healthy fat that will help you control your hunger. Healthy fat tricks the brain into thinking that the stomach is full.
CCK is a chemical that tells your brain to stop eating. Having a snack with healthy fat such as walnuts, almonds, or any kind of nuts are good so that when you are eating your dinner it will help you feel fuller and know when to stop.
Source(s):
."You turn on CCK by having healthy nuts, such as these walnuts -- which are the best of them, but all nuts are good.
The good fat from the nuts causes the intestinal wall to secrete CCK and eight to 20 minutes later, you're won't be hungry.
To battle overeating at dinner, Roizen suggests having have some nuts and a drink beforehand."

Actually, to tell you the truth, I happen to have the same problem. I can never stop eating even when Im not hungry, but I found that if I chew on sugar-free gum, I don't feel the urge to run to the kitchen and grab a bag of chips. I chew sugar-free gum so that I'm not chewing on a bunch of sugar all day, as it can be harmful for your teeth. It works for me, hope it works for you too. Bye now.

I know this is a really simple answer but you really need to listen to it. Limit your self to ONE BOWL no more! Don't go back! Do what you can to not go back! Avoid taking the whole bag of chips just take a bowl and put the rest away. Go far away from the place your food is.

Yeah I have the same problem too. You are struggling wtih binging and even though you aren't fat now, it will eventually get to you. I suggest when you are eating, put smaller portions on a plate and put the rest away. Close up the cookie jar, bag up the potato chips, and put it away. Tell yourself, "I can get more if I want to, but right now I'm just going to eat this plateful first." And drink LOTS of water in between too. Hope this helps!

Easy! Eat slower, you will get more full and still be satisfied, Also try healthier snacks, apples, oranges, salad. etc. or maybe if you do want some of those chips, Fill up a nice cold glass of water to go with it. This will fill up your stomach, with no added pounds.

I wish I knew because I have the same problem. I think my solution is never to start eating the snacks in the first place.
