Did I not tell you earlier that a Jew is such a noble, precious jewel that God and all the angels dance when he farts?---Martin Luther (On the Jews and Their Lies)
“What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews?
First, their synagogues should be set on fire, and whatever does not burn up should be covered or spread over with dirt so that no one may ever be able to see a cinder or stone of it. And this ought to be done for the honour of God and of Christianity, in order that God may see that we are true Christians.
Secondly, their homes should be likewise broken down and destroyed.
Thirdly, they should be deprived of their prayerbooks and talmuds in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught.
Fourthly, their rabbis must be forbidden under threats of death to teach anymore.” – Martin Luther
“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther
“I hope I shall never be so stupid as to be circumcised; I would rather cut off the left breast of my Catherine and of all women.” --- Martin Luther
“If we are to remain unsullied by the blasphemy of the Jews and not wish to take part in it, we must be separated from them and they must be driven out of the country.” – Martin Luther

I see that you seem to just want to slam Martin Luther? As a Catholic, I am no big fan----but I will say that he did a lot of good for the Chruch in general.
Also---the anti-semetic stuff needs to be put into context of the time in which he lived. It was very common in those days to be a Jew hater because the christians of that time were hung up on the idea that the jews killed the messiah.
Many of the Early Church Fathers have some pretty horrible anti-semetic writings---you have to look at WHY. The Christians being 'outed' by the Jews and thrown to the lions...etc.

Yes, Jesus was born a Jew, and raised a Jew. He performed miracles in the name of God, and is the Son of God, of the Trinity Christian God, and offered to His disciples and followers a life in Heaven in the world to come. God said in the OT He would send a Messiah, and before then, the Jewish would sacrifice a lamb, well, think of it as Jesus is the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice that would forgive all of our sins, for those who ask. How do we worship the same God when the Christians believe God is a Trinity? The Jewish have made clear, they do not think that we worship the same God because of their non-belief in Trinitarianism. The Muslims say the Jews and Christians worship the same God as they do, impossible, when the Jewish say that the Christians don't worship the same God, and when the Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, nor a prophet of God. The Christians believe that God has enforced His Trinity like state since the beginning in Genesis 1:2, when the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, moved upon the face of the waters of the Earth. How do we all worship the same God? ; Judaism- One God, No Trinity, believes the Messiah will come, but has not yet. Christianity- One God, Trinity, believes the Messiah has come, and He will come again to judge the living and the dead, believes that the Messiah is Jesus Christ the Son of God. Islam- One God, believes that Jesus was a prophet of the Lord, believe that Jesus will come back some time near the end. How do we worship the same God, when our books are different: The Hebrew Bible- 24 Books- Old Testament has some "Missing Books" that were not approved by Judaism. The "Christian" Bible- 66 Books Quran- Believes that Jesus was a prophet of the Lord, and that the prophets before Him were correct, yet, they wrote another book that is not an expansion to the "Christian" Bible? How do we worship the same God, when our prophet numbers are different: Judaism: Around 20 Prophets Christianity: 40 Prophets Islam- 1 Prophet We do not worship the same God, when we have three seperate ideas of him.

I speak as a Lutheran and condemn Luther's attacks on the Jews. I wish, however, to explain them a bit. Initially, Luther, perhaps naively, believed the Jews would accept his message of justification by grace. When this did not occur, he reacted out of frustration. Secondly, these comments were made in the latter parts of his life when he was wracked by pain because of a variety of ailments and innumerable problems (theological, political, ecclesiastical, familial, and psychological). If Luther would have actually met a Jew, he would have invited him for dinner, shared a few mugs of beer, and discussed the Hebrew Scriptures with him. His treatment would have been highly cordial. Ease up a bit; give this giant a break. He would have condemned Hitler.

Wow, that is really quite astounding. Martin Luther apparently was not right about everything, showing this kind of discrimination. However, still he realized some great truths from reading the Bible, namely that salvation is of grace not by works.
Remember Jonah, in the Bible. He refused to preach to the city of Nineveh, but God dealt with him. I doubt that the early Jewish disciples of Christianity were jumping with joy to preach to the Gentiles. In the history of the U.S. many Christians owned slaves. It is apparent that Christians display the unsurrendered parts of their lives.

Martin Luther did not hold to this racism early on, but stood up against the false doctrines of the catholic Church in the face of being executed for his stand.
Although he at first took a firm stand against false doctrine, he later became fearful of people and did not hold fast to his knowledge that the trinity was unscriptural. Later, he fell into his darkness of anti-semitism and set a horrible example for those that had looked to him for guidance.
Yes, he started out nobly, but ended up, shameful.

Hey, Martin Luther clearly had issues, especially later with all that anti Jewish stuff. But he personally bent the Roman Catholic Church over a barrel and nailed them 95 times.
It must have hurt because they are still sore about it. lol
EDIT: XD
