find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

30 minutes of exercise a day or like 5-6 days a week depending on how intense of exercise you do. Example: If you run for 30 minutes Just do what is fun to you. Cardio burns the most calories/fat, but doing weights/sculpting a couple of days a week builds muscle and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn even just sitting on the couch. Figure out how many calories you are eating a day and then take a few hundred off and you will lose weight. But, amount of food depends on size and activity level. Fitness magazine has a website that can help you figure out how many calories a day to eat. Eating 5-6 smaller meals a day instead of 3 larger meals a day will increase metabolism/calorie burn. Its not so much about how much, but what you eat. You can eat all the celery, apples, etc you want but just portion size things like chips, pasta, etc usually we eat 2-3 times the portion size.
