Just curious, everyone here seems either staunchly athiest or staunchly thiest. Is there anyone out there that at least attempts to admit that they just don't know, that the other guys could be right after all. After all, what proof do we have that there is or isn't a god/gods/goddess/goddesses (just trying to be pc).

I'm between an agnostic and an atheist.

I am an agnostic. I remember trying so hard to believe as a kid and just couldn't. As I got older, I learned about other religions, even went to services and talked to their holy people, etc.

In the end, I just can't believe that all these religions on earth and only one can be right. I can't believe that a finite mortal people can somehow see into the mystic and pull out exactly what god/goddess/pantheon believes and thinks.

Atheism is as sure of itself as religion is, it is simply the opposite view. I cannot say with certainty that there is no god, merely that I don't think the existing religions have proved god or that they could possibly have it right. I also can't say that atheists have it right. I'm just solidly in the middle.

I will say that I view myself as a humanist. It is the closest thing to my personal viewpoint.

I'm pretty much agnostic. I keep the ideas of a higher power open, but I lean towards atheism. If my belief in a higher power ever got stronger, I still wouldn't go back to my original religion(Catholicism) or one of the other christian groups. I'd probably stay away from organized religion altogether.

I'm an atheist. But I'd be perfectly willing to admit I was wrong if they can ever provide some proof for their deities. Being atheist doesn't mean 'I won't believe in any gods ever' - that won't make sense if one suddenly shows up. It simply means that based on the current evidence, I don't see any reason to believe in a god or be ambivilent about it.

I'm an agnostic. The world is still too mysterious to categorically dismiss the supernatural. However, I am certain that 99.99% of theists have completely mischaracterized it.

I'm pretty Agnostic in my approach to the whole God thing.

I admit that I don't know. I don't label myself as agnostic or atheist because they are terms that define what I don't believe. I'd rather call myself a humanist because it says what I do believe in.
