Can you prove that god exists?

Question

For those of you who are about to say, "can you prove he doesn't exist?"

You cannot prove a negative, to claim that you cannot prove that something does not exist means that it must therefore be real is inane.

Can you prove that unicorns don't exist?
Can you prove dragons don't exist?
Can you prove that Zeus doesn't exist?
Can you prove that The Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't exist?

Oh, whats that? You can't prove a negative? Than obvoiusly they HAVE to exist!

Thats your logic, makes a person want to cry at the lack of education you possess.

So, prove that he does exist.

Over 300 prophecies written by different men over the course of several centuries were all fulfilled in the life and death of Jesus Christ. Many of these were not within His control (assuming He was just human), like the circumstances of His birth and the disposition of His clothes amongst the guards who crucified Him.

Sodom & Gommorah were destroyed by fire and brimstone (called sulfur nowadays) and the sites have been found that prove it really happened. I've checked, and sulfur doesn't fall from the sky, so it wasn't a meteorite shower as some claim. I wonder then what (or who) it was? The region has no volcanic source of sulfur that explains this event either...it just sorta shows up.

Are these the same as finding God's drivers license in your front yard? Well no, of course not. But they are evidence of His presence, left behind for us to find. We leave behind fingerprints in the same way all day long, and sometimes they are used to prove we were somewhere. If I can demonstrate that God was on Earth for even 1 second, then He is completely real.

God exists by virtue of the moral law. The moral (natural) law is universal: don't kill, don't steal, hate evil, love good, don't practice immoral sex, etc. These laws have been embodied in the codes of all cultures spanning all time and technological levels. Let's accept that as a given?
Part of the moral law is the concept of self-sacrifice. Mothers and fathers will protect their offspring from harm, even putting themselves in danger. This is counterintuitive to self-preservation. One dies so that someone else may live. Who do we give the Medal of honor to? Those who place their lives in grievous danger in order to aid others. Often the "winners" die. They are honored, and their names are enshrined. We laud service and care. We erect hospitals, orphanages, homes for the elderly, and so on, simply to help those who cannot help themselves. Why do we do this? If there is no God, why not eat, drink, be merry, and blow our brains out at the age of, oh, 60 or so? Could it be that we are compelled to behave this way? Could it be that such altruistic behavior, such levels of high moral standards, are imprinted, so to speak, in the human's very being? Could this morality have been placed there by God? Could they reflect the image of God? Do yourself a favor, and I'm not being rhetorical: Read C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity". Then, if you still disagree, I'll respect that. But not until then. So what will it be?

i'm purely someone with limited perceptions, basically like everybody else. I have confidence God does exist, yet no longer in any anthropomorphic experience that would have the capacity to be shown or measured scientifically. First off, no, I can't prove Him to you. If you dont' want to believe in Him, its your choice. God has nothing to prove to you, all the evidence is there, but if you want to constantly disprove it, its on your hands.

I know that I found all the answers that I needed when I openly came to God, the evidence that I needed in the ancient texts that Jesus was who He said He was and the changes in my heart when I finally surrendered.

If that lacks logic and lack of education to you, so be it. I have nothing to prove to you either, I just know beyond all doubt that He is real.

Truthfully guy,Keep your scientific garble for the science lab. Your searching for truth and you know it, and so does anybody else spiritually awake here. Sorry to tell you that you cant touch that,unless your willing to come to him willingly, because without faith it is impossible to please God.His word says that. It also says that the carnal (physical) man cannot discern or understand the things of God for they have to be spiritually understtod. And you do that by coming to him in faith. Faith is the evidence of what is hoped for not of what is seen. And the bible is not just a book or story it is power on paper and it is alive!!! Test it you will see. Lets be real here. According to us christians your are a lost soul without God.So being that, what do you have to lose here that is not already lost?Nothing!.But you have everything to gain! I asked God once if he was real to prove himself to me at the age of 23. At the end of that prayer I felt like I was plugged into a light socket in heaven I swear. I then opened the bible and started on a journey that has been unforgettable.I could tell you true stories that will make your hair stand on end. But I had to let go in order to find it. If you won't, fine, stay in your hardened world, and when Christ comes back he will say to you..."Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you".
