Any Muslim who kills in the name of God is not a Muslim. Any Christian who kills in the name of God is not Christian. Any Jew who does that, is not Jewish. People who do wrong things often need a reason to justify their actions. That's why, throughout history, religion has usually been the subject matter everytime something took place. People can't simply admit that they're full of hatred so they use someone or something else to justify their own failures. However, I believe the term "great Satan" is often referred to the super power, which at this time is America, soon it may be another country. And no offense, the way this President is running this country is no short of what satan would do. If you're Christian, Jewish, or Muslim--- ask yourself one question. If your religious figure was present, would he be doing any of the things the American gov. is doing? Would He destroy homes and target innocent civilians the way the Israeilis are? Would he wage wars on other countries and use "wmd's" as his excuse when all along it's only about Oil? Would He kill innocent people in the name of God the way some Muslim extremists do? The answer is No. Pretty simple isn't it?
But on a more personal note, I think we all have the Great Satan in us. It's thrives in our sins, it feeds off of our soul, and it will fail flat if we fight it, rather than one another. Don't you think?

The bible says Satan is the god of this world.
Biblically speaking - any nation which becomes a superpower on a secular agenda must be helped by satan.

they don't believe that it is the great Satan. beside how do you know, have you talked to them personally? didn't think so
but they probably think negatively of America,
hell, i would if America established military bases all around my country and occupy it.
I am not justifying their acts at all
and they are stupid by using Islam to so call "justify" their extremism.
because it is not allowed in Islam
plain and simple.

it is like anything else, it only takes one person to start saying "great satan" and someone picks it up and it starts snow balling.pretty soon everybodys sceeming it. you know, like "global warming" or save the whales or politicaly correct, etc, etc, etc
mostly, you need something to justify your cause or actions, so pick something or someone, and hammer away at it.
