We all know that god is an order God. we also know tha we will always want more and we will be constantly asking for things.

But there´s always a phase on your life when your asking for something special, somenthing that may take years to achieve. In some way this petition becomes something that makes you faith to be proven.

Whta I would like to know is:
1.How did God answer you?
2.How long did it take?
3.What happend when God was in silence?
4.Did you finally understood why the things happened?
5. In time of despere, how did He give you strengh?
6.Was the answer what you were specting?

Is a question for every one, but obviously is specially for believers.

PD: Sorry about my english, I´m still working on it...

this is a very detailed question that takes a great deal of thought.
I have had so many experiences of answered prayer - both 'for' and 'against' my petition. In all I have given praise. In all I have seen the grace and wisdom of God.
I will give you one example:
My husband and I, when we first married, lived in a small 2 bedroom home. (The acquisition of this home was a miracle in itself - we should never have gotten it). We planned to move on after about 5 years as our family grew. As the 5th year approached and just before our 3rd child was born, my husband lost his job. We managed through almost 2 years of unemployment and 5 years became 10. Our children grew and of course, our home shrank. At times it was quite funny, but I was becoming frustrated. Thinking it rather a selfish prayer, I resigned myself to living there. But the Lord sees things differently. He prompted me to pray and told me "I have a home for you". Although we couldn't afford it, and my heart certainly wasn't ready, I kept hearing His voice as I cried out in anguish: "trust me".
To make an overly long and dramatic story short - it was another 9 years before a home finally caught our eye AND we were financially ready AND our hearts were ready - but the home was way overpriced.
so my answers to your questions are:
1) He continued to ask me if I trusted Him
2) it took 9 years (past the original 5 we wanted to stay in that home and past the original declaration that He had a home for us)
3) I lamented, cried and continued to pray - but we also persevered.
4) Yes I understood all the way through it that He was teaching me patience. He taught me to accept what I had and be happy. Toward the end, I honestly could have stayed in that home if that was where He wanted us to be, but through it all, I knew that He did have another home for us, so I was at peace.
5) God continued to bless us with what we needed.
6) No - it far exceeded what we expected. The home that we liked became the desire of our hearts, but it was way overpriced. We continued to look knowing we couldn't possibly afford it. We were happy to do that and did not lament its loss. But when 2 other homes in our price range in the same neighbourhood slipped through our fingers we began to wonder. When our realtor called to say the price of this home had dropped dramatically, we were stunned.

The blessing about this home is:
it's large enough to fit us all comfortably, but not overly large. It is right beside our school (the kids have now moved on from that school, but that was one of the blessings)
It's on a crescent (this means there is no traffic - a crescent is a little side street off of a main street that circles around and comes back out to the main street) and the added bonus is that our crescent is acually off of another crescent - it's very quiet. It's only 2 blocks from my mother and father's house. On a side note - the first day I drove my son to this school when he was in grade 4, I drove past this crescent and glanced down the street. I felt an odd sort of peace and I told my daughters (who were in the car with me) - "that's where I'd like to live" and pointed down the crescent. This was 5 years before we actually moved.
The lot that this home is on is very large (for a city lot) and full of trees and there are many many more things about it.
We understand that we won't be here forever. It's only for a season. We are happy with that. There was a ton of work to be done on the house and grounds, but not so much that we couldn't handle it. There are headaches with owning a home, and we have the usual financial difficulties - but the bottom line is - God taught us to trust Him in all things. We could lose what we have tomorrow and it would be sad, but we know it would be ok.

blessings :)

Your English sounds just fine.

1.How did God answer you?
By getting me a great job that fit me perfectly.

2.How long did it take?
Five years.

3.What happened when God was in silence?
I had to trust Him. Silence is the hardest part.

4.Did you finally understand why the things happened?
Yes. To cause me to get more educated in both video and HTML. Otherwise, I would not have gotten the job. Also, to learn how to trust God in the silence, and in the lowest times.

5. In time of despair, how did He give you strength?
Through His Word, and something I heard on the radio or a tape.

6.Was the answer what you were expecting?
Actually no. It was better.

I have been very fortunate that God has answered my prayers rather swiftly. The hardest is when I prayed for a car. To make a long story short, my wife visited a church that was not our home church, and the pastor asked her if she knew someone who needed a car. She said we did. When we picked the car up, it had an envelope in it to cover tags and title. More than we ever prayed for.

I am always suspicious of any statement that begins "We all know that..."

It assumes facts not in evidence.
