He didn't. The world evolved over billions of years.

He did
Since time isn't a physical dimension and has no means of measure outside of physical changes the time before and during creation is not defined.
Consider this also; since God is eternal then everything that has happened since the beginning of creation until now, regardless of your measurement; is but a blip in Gods experience.
The next big question is; "If God is eternal why did he wait until now to creat anything, or did he wait at all? Has he done this before?"

I believe that Creator took a lot longer than fifteen minutes or seven days, rather six. But as mentioned in the Bible that it took God six days to create the earth and heavens, it never stipulated that one of our Creator's days was a simple 24 hours long.

God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. If He had done it in 15 minutes, you would probably ask why he didn't take a week...

Because He is organized and a planner. He knew what He wanted and how He wanted to accomplish it. Poor planning and haste is a sign of stupidity. He was creating the earth for His man and only the best would do. His vast creativity is seen all around us every day. Your body is a working , walking miracle. Only an intelligent GOD could create a human and have it procreate in its own likeness. The uniqueness of nature is a sign of His ingenuity and sense of humor.

OK Dubious sounds like you are at it again you funny person. Listen you know that God's time is different from our time. One day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Wait till you get old like me and that statement will have more meaning for you. I don't know if creation week was God's time table or ours. I know it was done in 7 but what I don't know is how long it was on the planning table. God is the great scientist and uses natural means for what He does. When you get to heaven you can ask Him yourself. Mmm

It's strange, isn't it?
Even 15 minutes seems tardy. Considering the fact that he's supposed to be omnipotent, he should have been able to click his fingers, and everything would've been created instantly.

why didn't he create it in 12 minutes ? Why ask why .Maybe he thought it would be a better story if he did it in 6 days .
Is it bothering you that much ?

Well he could have done it but there wasn't a point too. He could have created the world in less than a blink of an eye or could have taken 40 billion years if he wanted! He just chose 7 days.

The representation of a day is simply that. Since Genesis is written by recount, now one is able to verify the actual time frame of creationism.
