on Mars, Titan, or some other body in our own little galaxy, would that change your views on creation at all? I know this question has been asked before about meeting intelligent alien life, but what about even microscopic life? It is entirely plausible that we find something like this some day. And considering that would mean 2 bodies in our relatively teeny tiny solar system hold/held life, don't you think the odds substantially increase that there is intelligent life elsewhere? How would you interpret this with your faith or beliefs?

So is there no one here tonight who has the slightest bit of imagination, or you just don't know how to answer?

Personally...no change.
To say we are alone is arrogant & statistically most improbable by today's thinking.
Evidence of some form of life ,past or present, within our solar system would not surprise me & would just increase the already high probability.
Finding intelligent life would be absolutely wonderful ,though I think Stephen Hawking's statement that if we do make "contact" , we might consider "keeping our heads down" could have some merit.
Going to be fun to see how some folks will take the news.
The ones who still think the earth is only six thousand years old & was made in six days.
An agnostic , but, see no conflict between belief in God ( or not) & the existence of other life.
Afraid there are some who are going to short circuit when it happens.

Well, that is a pretty big if. But I do not recall anywhere in the Bible that says there is not life anywhere but on the earth.
Fortunately, even with my limited knowledge of other planets, but a little bit of study about the earth, I do feel quite confident that life forms of any kind will not be found on mars.

Not in the slightest deggree, for I would be egoistic to presume that we are the only living and thinking beings in the Universe or that GOD would not have anything to do but create us and us only!
PS. I do not know about others but it just happen to see this question and of course, I am not afraid to answer to it or to simillar question for a honest a free- thinking person must not be afraid to put himself and his/ her beliefs to the test

"Creation"? I don't believe in creation.

Cosmology: Nope.

Abiogenesis: Nope.

I expect that life has occurred countless other places.

The universe is a huge place. Self-replicating systems are probably fairly common. When I reflect on the possibilities my mind just boggles.

What would you think if they landed on Titan and found an empty coca cola can?
Point of fact is, anything you say is pure speculation.
Many scientists now believe the chance of finding any life on other planets is statistically prohibitive.

Obviously it would mean life is likely relatively common. Without another data point we really cannot estimate the likelyhood of abiogenesis happening on earth-like planets. I don't believe anything is created. I believe reality is based on mathematical laws so my beliefs about reality wouldn't change at all.
