They care about you, and they treat you as if you mattered to them. They will even sometimes backout of arguements with you if you seem to be convinced of something. They tell you that they wish you were with them if you weren;t around. They would invite you along for things and take an interest in things that you were interested in. They would suffer if you got angry at them, and want to make things better if you remained angry. They might even ast like they were hurt, but might even try to hide it from you.
I find that their voice gets quieter or louder, depending on what was going on. They would be happy to see you, and miss you when you were gone. They might even sacrifice something in order to do something they saw as better for you.
What some people do with all of this is take advantage of it. They would rather think that they are somehow superior and try to manipulate such a person. What those who are loved should do is never do that. To make sure that love was returned.

If they did, you wouldn't have to ask this question.
Not being a smart-***, but am simply trying to tell a simple truth, that we don't need to be told by anyone or anything outside of ourselves whether we are or are not being loved.
If you do, then you will always run the risk of being lied to and/or deceived--mostly by yourself.
I believe that if you asking this kind of question, then you you are not experiencing love from this other person.
It may help to ask the question:
How would you know if you truly loved someone?
or
How would they know if you truly loved them?
Regards,

How do you know anything? We all base our lives on finite facts and information that is governed by our limited perception of this universe.
Instincts are the most important thing for most of us in the case of love.
If you wish to be able to percieve signs that may tell if someone is in love, then I'd recommend investigating auras and how to see them.

if by "truly" you mean unconditional love, it does not come naturally to humans. because of our fallen nature, we are incapable of producing such a love. if we are to love as God loves, that love – that agape – can only come from its true source. this is the love which “has been poured out in our hearts through the holy spirit given to us” when we became his children.

The romantic in me says you'll see it in their eyes. Also, when they seem to care more about you than they do themselves, that's a good sign that you are loved.

They help you to be your best self, no matter what the situation. They never use you. They honestly want the very best for you.
It is easy for you to be your best self when you are around them.

There are many ways... how they treat you, how they look at you, how they respect you and how they make you feel. I have no doubts about how my husband loves me. I feel it every day and see it in his eyes.

They would treat you well... even when things aren't all that great. Someone who loves you accepts you.
If someone treats you poorly, they do not love you. Always look at what they do, not necessarily what they say.
