Between $1 and $2, but no more. Remember, you serve yourself at a buffet, not the waitress. They provide minimal assistance/service.

Well since at buffets the waitresses don't really do anything. Less than the normal amount which is considered about 15%.

So I'd say about 5-10% depending on if she was nice and if she did anything. And all though this is kind of wrong lots of people also go by her physical attraction.

i replaced into in the eating place corporation for 18 years whilst i replaced into youthful. I say it relies upon. It relies upon on the fashion of buffet. some severe end buffets jointly with in Las Vegas upload 18% quickly on on your bill. This generally on no account reaches your server and is a fashion for the eating place to earn extra funds. suggestions are for service given and that i continually tipped a minimum of 10% for service despite if solid or undesirable. Being in the corporation; I knew that maximum servers in basic terms make between 2-3 money an hour and count on suggestions to pay their costs. from time to time buffet eating places pay greater by technique of the hour yet I even have considered the place they do no longer. I say enable your very own judgment of right and incorrect be your handbook. If that person impacts your day in an excellent way; undergo in innovations that they may be based upon what you're giving them to pay thier water bill. And the going fee for suggestions has no longer been 15% for greater or less 10 years. it quite is now 20%.

2 or 3 dollars per table. They may make their wages from tips, but they are serving a heck of a lot more tables than a waiter at a restaurant.

i usually leave $2.00 for two of us the bill is usually about $14.00 total so two bucks seems appropriate. Even though it is "self serve" they do bring coffee, and plates and take the old ones away, wipe down the table (ya ya i know its "part of the job") but it is nice for them to do it either way, and polite of us to at least acknowledge it.

Always remember to tell these ones "thank you" even tho it may seem like it's just "their job" it's ALWAYS nice to be polite, and we should all strive, no matter how small it may be just say Thanks, it will make you and the server feel good.

They may be having a really bad day, or another customer may have really upset them, but your smile and thank you may be just what they need to keep on going.

I think the standard is 10%. They do bring you drinks, take away your dirty plates, bring extra napkins or whatever you need. Why do people go out and spend money on a meal and suddenly become so cheap when it's time to tip? If you're so poor, go make yourself a pbj at home. If you can afford the meal, you can afford to tip decently.

check your receipt/bill......some resturaunts are adding in the tips now. Just make sure before you tip that you check. A normal rate is now 18 percent. It just went up from 15 percent. Waiters and waitresses only make around 2.15 an hour. they rely on all of those tips.

I usually give 10% or more, depending on the service. She is still getting your drinks/refills, napkins, clearing off the plates.

I don't tip at a buffet. In my opinion, bringing my my water does not earn a person a tip. And, as far as I know, it's still my choice whether to tip or not.
