it's actually a problem with the tv, not the box or the cox service.

What you will need to do is find a button on the remote that says SAP or MTS and push it one time.

If that doesn't do it, or doesn't bring up any options on your tv screen

what you will have to do is find the menu button on the remote that came in the box with your tv, if you don't see one on the remote there might be a panel you can open on the front of the tv with the menu button or a menu button on the front, side, or top of the tv depending on the brand of your tv.

once you locate the menu options you should be able to find the SAP or MTS in the audio options.

you will want to turn it off or set it to stereo or mono.

if all else fails contact the manufacturer of your tv.

good luck!

I worked for Cox for several years, you need to hit your settings button once for Quick Settings then you need to select Disable SAP and this will stop it. If it keeps doing it you also need to check your TV menu by using your TV remote, not the digital cable remote, and press Menu then go to either Language or SAP and make sure the SAP it turned off there too. If you need troubleshooting tips in the future you can also go to www.cox.com and click on technican support.
