I know it sounds weird, but I think it'll heal you in no time.

You really need to see a doctor again. Keep it covered to lessen the risk of infection. Change the dressing every few days, but get medical advice as soon as you can. My brother sliced the end of his index finger off, and he had his covered for about 5 weeks. I had 2 of my fingers cut past the bone and spent 6 weeks going to the hospital. Good luck

No peroxide. It's too deep of a wound. Try topical anesthetic or cold ice compresses. While its still healing it is certainly going to hurt. It will hurt more when you stay active because of increased blood flow. Just take it easy...keep it clean and finish off your antibiotics as prescribed...Did you get a tetanus shot? I hope so...Please be careful. I hope that you feel better soon.

I did the same thing... a few times. Hey, it happens when you work with knives. I just cleaned it up real good with water and anti-bacterial soap or alcohol, wrapped it up in A LOT of gauze and some tape, don't even bother with band-aids. I kept it closed tight for a day or two, and then went it quit bleeding I took the gause off, covered it up with a bandage (mostly to remind me that I shouldn't use it for anything) and took it off to let it breathe at night. After a few days of that I just let it go completely and it's fine. Works every time.

You should keep it covered with antibiotic ointment 24/7.... maybe let it air out for about an hour a day.
The idea that it should be left un-bandaged to "heal" is an old wives tale. It will heal much faster bandaged.

Okay, the same thing happened to my uncle. You should leave the wound alone! Do not put anything on it that your doctor didnt give to you. If you have any further questions you should consult your doctor or nurse.

Put pure alcohol on it. It will kill all of the germs, although it hurts like no other (unless it was like salt).
