I believe that Twain was referring to the fact that the most creative and learned amongst us are the most likely to be free thinking atheist and therefor doomed to Hell by the Christians. He obviously felt that they would make much better company than those that toed the company line in order to attain a place in Heaven.

People won't care about anyone or anything accept their agony in the lake of fire( Hell didn't get "PC kindness" in the last 40 years):

I hope Mark Twain chose Jesus over hell.

no parties,no company of the "wild and crazy" fun people,no more witty and crude jokes to laugh at,etc.

Twain pronounced a number of issues. I desire hell became genuine so i could desire to take heed to all of them. and besides, "maximum persons can not undergo to take a seat down in church for an hour on Sundays. How are they meant to stay someplace very corresponding to it for eternity?"

he was saying christians were boring. no drinking, no dancing no music no shaving no cards or gambling no sex if you aren't making a baby (which means no sex in heaven) He thought the idea of floating around on a harp and singing prasies at goed sounded terribly boring
