to work with the Trinity, you can't work with the aspect of how Muslims view the creator, first of all.
it's more of a Biblical thing. there's nothing on earth that can really explain the Trinity perfectly, so lets use something that's basically sci-fi:
Example:
okay, let's use natural examples. bees have by far the most advanced collective mind of all animals. a bee already has the knowledge of how to do everything precisely, where her fellow workers are and what they are doing at what time, and everything is in perfect timing. so you understand the one mind concept right?
okay, adding to that, you have creatures that can regenerate, such as a starfish. even if split apart, a starfish can grow back into separate part, all having the same dna, so it's still basically the same creature, having split in two, neither really being the Prime. you understand the same dna thing now?
now back to bees. bees are separated into three main groups: the queen/drones (reproduction, leader), the honey makers, and the guards. each, though they share a mind, has a diffferent role and performs it. the honey makers are often sent to gather pollen far away from the hive, but still stay in unison and know their purpose. understand the one mind, different roles?
so now lets apply that to the Trinity. You have the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who share a mind (like the bees) and are of one essense (like the starfish). The Father 'begat' the Son in eternity (like the starfish splitting), and that Son, even though separated physically (like the honey makers gathering pollen) still is of the same essense and mind of the Father and Holy Spirit. They all maintain different roles, hence their names Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but all make up God, are all basically God Prime (like the starfish).
Jesus, the part of God begotten, was put into a soul, the Spirit and the Father created in Mary's womb the other 23 chromosomes, genetic material, the body's blueprints and building materials, neccessary to make a baby with blood, not from man, but from God. when that soul was placed into that body, now part of God had become man.
I hope that made sense

The word "trinity" is not found in the Bible, but the concept is. All cults deny the Trinity. Christians claim it is true. But, what is it? Is it an office held by three gods (Mormonism) or a pagan concept borrowed from ancient cults (as the Jehovah's Witnesses teach)? The Oneness Pentecostal believers teach that God is not a Trinity but is really one person who takes three forms. So, which of these is true? None.
The Trinity is the doctrine that there is only one God in all creation, all time, and all places. This one God exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is not the same person as the other, yet there are not three gods, but one.
The Bible has many references to a plurality concerning the nature of God's existence. Consider the following verses as an example: Gen. 19:24, "Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven." Notice that the Lord rained FROM the Lord out of heaven. Amos 4:10-11 says, "I sent a plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men by the sword along with your captured horses, And I made the stench of your camp rise up in your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me, declares the Lord [YHWH]. 11I overthrew you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze; Yet you have not returned to Me, declares the Lord." Notice here that the Lord is talking and says, "I overthrew you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah." Sometimes when I show these verses to Jehovah's Witnesses (without saying anything else), they often respond with, "Are you trying to show me the Trinity?" I then say, "You got the Trinity out of that? Wow!"
In the New Testament there are several verses that show God's plurality. Here 's two. Matt. 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," Note that there is one name and three persons. Also, 2 Cor. 13:14, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all." These kinds of verses, and others (see http://www.carm.org/doctrine/trinityplural.htm for more) are part of the means by which the doctrine of the Trinity is derived.
When we "theologians" use the word "person," we are not saying that God is three individual beings walking around who are actually one being. That would be a contradiction. Instead, we define a person as having self awareness, identity, can speak, love, grieve, etc. These are attributes of personhood and we see all of these attributes, and more, in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If you want to see a chart that exemplifies this, go to http://www.carm.org/doctrine/trinity.htm and look around.
The Trinity is a very important doctrine within Christianity. It is the correct view of the Godhead and needs to be affirmed by Christians. Of course, the cults deny the Trinity, often misrepresent it as teaching three gods, or that it is an office, etc. But the truth is that the Trinity doctrine is derived from Scripture and is unique to Christianity.
Finally, the Trinity is important because only in the doctrine of the Trinity can we have the true incarnation of God (the Word become flesh as the Son - John 1:1,14). Only the God-man Jesus can offer a sacrifice sufficient to appease the infinite Father in heaven. No mere man can do this. No mere angel. Instead, God the Word, in His grace, added to Himself human nature (Phil. 2:5-8) in order to bear our sins in His body on the cross (1 Pet. 2:24) so that He might become sin on our behalf (2 Cor. 5:21). This way, He atoned for our sins by the shedding of His blood (Heb. 9:22) and guaranteed that all who trust in Him will receive everlasting life (John 3:16). Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we might then have eternal life that is received by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8). Amen to that!

False teaching is why people are confused. Jesus is clear about who he is and that is the son of the only TRUE GOD. Jesus says to worship GOD and only GOD. But it seems that many churches worship Jesus which in turn puts GOD and Jesus against one another.(Thou shalt have know other gods before me 1st commandment). We have to remember GOD is a punisher of sins and Jesus is a forgiver of sins so which one is easier to worship. John 17 verse 3 This is eternal life:that they may know You, the only true GOD, and the One You have sent-Jesus Christ. verse 18 just as You sent Me into the world, end of verse 24, You loved Me BEFORE the worlds foundation. These three verses alone show that GOD is the Father and Jesus is His son. And that we to should worship GOD as Jesus did. Also in the book of Mark 13:32 now concerning that day or hour No one knows-neither angels in heaven, nor the Son- except the Father! So if this last statement is true ONLY GOD knows the day and hour, not the son and if Jesus is GOD and He's telling them He don't know that would make Him a liar which we know He IS NOT! Worship GOD the Father, Praise and follow the Son Jesus Christ our Savior, gain strenght and knowledge through the Holy Spirit

So you drifted away from your original question about the trinity, and have a purpose to hear from Christians on how Jesus could be God?
God calls him God. And then there are the verses that tell us that Jesus and the Father are one. It's really easy to find those verses, all you have to do is look at the Gospel of John, and the Hebrew letter. Not that all we need is the New Testament to explain it to us, the Old Testament tell us that God is more complex than just saying, "God is one."
Here are some verses where these things are stated:
Hebrews 1:5For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
John 10: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.

The Christian concept of the Trinity once seemed strange, perhaps even contrived, to me. How could something be three things that are one and one thing that is three? But the Trinity made sense to me once I came to believe in God, to recognize Him in Jesus Christ and to know the part of Him within me. My understanding of the Trinity, and belief in its truth, grew as I came to see that the universe itself reflects the three-in-one nature of the God who created it.
Water as solid, liquid and vaporMatter
Matter has three states, solid, liquid and gaseous. Each element is a single element, but it takes on different forms or manifestations under different conditions.
Three primary colors give white lightLight
Any color of light can be formed from the three primary colors. Light that appears as white, the purest of all, does not exist by itself but is the equal combination of red, green and blue light, and is a manifestation of three colors in one.
Three dimensions in spaceSpace
The space of our universe has three dimensions. You cannot define a point in space without using three dimensions, and yet that point is one.
Time in past, present and futureTime
Time in our universe has three dimensions that are found in past, present and future, yet it is a single continuum and only exists in the present.
Three primary forces of natureForces
There are three physical forces known to control all interactions in matter: gravitational, electromagnetic and nuclear. The Unified Field Theory seeks to identify one set of laws that describes all these forces as different manifestations of one force.
Atoms
The atom defines the most basic unit of every chemical element in the universe. The word atom comes from the Greek word for "indivisible," yet while it represents the purest essence of one element, the atom has three facets, with the positively charged proton and neutral neutron at its core, and the negatively charged electron outside the core that balances its electric charge and interacts with other elements.
Trisecting a line as the basis for design in creationLife
The physical design of the human body, and that of many other life forms, is based on a relationship known as the Divine Proportion, or Golden Section. This proportion is based on trisecting a line such that the ratio of the small piece to the large piece is the same as the ratio of the large piece to the entire line. It is also found by solving an equation with three terms, x3 - x2 - x1 = 0.
Nature of man
The nature of man is expressed as mind, body and spirit, analogous to, and in the image of, the triune nature of God. It's interesting to note that Genesis relates man being made by "us" in "our" image when referring to God, indicating the plurality in His nature.
Life on Earth
Life on Earth inhabits three domains, the sea, the land and the air.
Holy Trinity
Following the three-in-one nature that is found throughout creation, we find the three-in-one nature of the One God manifested in the Holy Trinity, with each Being revealing a different aspect of our God and Creator to us:
The Father, the part of God that is transcendent, infinite and beyond our understanding,
The Son, Jesus Christ, the part of God that is immanent and appeared to us in the way that we could best know Him, in human form. He was both "Son of God," an expression of God as contained in human form, and at the same time "Son of Man," the ultimate expression of who we can be in our most divine form.
The Holy Spirit, the part of God that lives in the heart and soul of each of us, acting as our Counselor for those who believe and listen to His voice within us.
