mine is a permanent one. a tribal sun with a scorpion inside it, on my right ankle.

at the moment, that is my only one, but when i win the lottery (cross the fingers and toes), i will get large wings on my back, and domino with wings, and numerous others. BUT, as i do not play the lottery, i will just have to save my pennies...

PS- for all the "i don't have one", and "tattoos are trashy" people that answer questions here, WTF are you doing on the Tattoo section? go play in Polls and Surveys!

I have more than one, lol. All of mine I got at critical milestones in my life. I got my first one on my 28th birthday. It is my fave flower,a red rose,it did have a red ladybug on the leaf, but turns out I'm allergic to red ink. Then a few years later I got a moon and sun, both had faces, the next day I went back and got a fairy touching the end of the moon. (Got an award at Culinary school, celebrated with a tat.) When my friend of over 22 years past I got a bumble bee for her.(Her name was Bea) And when I had the five year anniversary of my heart surgery I got a butterfly on my big toe. When I found out my heritage( I'm adopted,) I went and got a claddah with a anklet of shamrocks which is attached with vines to the first one I got. My next one will be a dragonfly,or maybe a koi fish.

A kanji (chinese writing/symbol) from the I Ching (a form of fortune telling that is told with coins to represent different virtues) meaning "standstill/balence/quieting the heart". This is virtue number 52. I plan to get more done in the mere future.

I'm thinking of getting one soon.

I've started designing it, but it isn't complete yet. Its a tree, and the branches sort of twist around each other, and there are four branches. The ends curl around in all different places on the tree - and in the end of the curls im still deciding - but want to put the star sign of my family. My brothers, mum, father and my nephew (next to my brother - his father)

And underneath the tree, putting symbols for earth fire wind and water.

Its all very symbolic to me! And it will go up my ribs.

I have three colorful rings intertwined between my shoulder blades. Not the celtic knot or whatever, but three rings that look 3D and are linked.
