I know there is a possible way to make sure that the files you download through limewire are virus free so it wont hurt your computer but i dont remember how to do this. Does anyone know how to find out if the songs you download are virus free.

any song you download off of limewire that is a mp3 file, will not be a virus or any other security risk. so you dont have to worry about that.

I am sorry to say but use of any file sharing program, including Limewire, carries the risk of downloading malicious files (e.g. viruses, spyware...etc.) The best you can do is to install an antivirus, firewall and anti spyware program(s) on your computer. You can also run in what is called a "virtual machine," which places downloaded files and programs in a separate secure space on your hard drive away from everything else.

Virus scan every file you download you can usally do this by right clicking the file
