Got this out of a question I just posted.
To make things clearer I would be more of a non-believer.

"you got it
He don't hear personal prayers from those that are not His "

So is this an accurate statement?

We are ALL his children. That statement is completely false and if I knew who posted it I would have to slap him with a wet noodle. He hears EVERYTHING you utter out loud and in private. He is waiting for you to make the choice to be His completely. He has a good plan for your life. Plans not to harm you, but to give you a hope and a future. I wish that people would educate themselves about their own religion and beliefs. I hope I could help. email me if you want. Kaliko

Actually, this is not necessarily the case. I know of one person in particular whose prayer was answered by God before she ever came to know Christ.

Her name is Irina Ratushinskaya. She was a precocious 10 year old girl who lived in Odessa, USSR. She was having to listen to her teacher go through a mandatory atheism class.

She thought to herself, "My parents told me once or twice that there was no such things as ghosts or monsters. That was it. But the State tells me every week that there is no God. He must be very powerful if they are so afraid of Him."

Outside, it was snowing, and because of school, she was missing out on the snow. She demanded of God that if He were real, He should make it snow enough to have school canceled. He answered. School was canceled for three days, which was unusual in that coastal city.

As Irina grew up, she would pray and was given more truth, as she sought after this God who answered prayer. One day she was actually able to get her hands on a Bible, written in an ancient Slavic script. She learned that language so that she could read it. She discovered that she believed the truth, and was a Christian, by God's incomparable grace, in the middle of the officially atheistic Soviet Union.

Saving perception or saving faith incorporates lots extra desirable than undemanding psychological assent. you're able to have self assurance which you're a sinner who has indignant a splendidly holy God and repent of sin. Then, perception on Christ incorporates trusting Him on my own (not alongside along with your sturdy works) to keep you thru His dying, burial and resurrection. If faith is actual, you will comprehend that the Holy Spirit is lively on your existence and all the Bible is authentic and authoritative.

I would have to characterize the answer you received to be especially vicious.

And, on behalf of all Christians--regardless of their persuasion and beliefs, I ask you to please accept our apologies, as I do not believe that such a sentiment is commonplace amongst or with most of us.

Aside from this, do you really need someone or something from 'outside' of you telling you that God doesn't or won't listen to you? Does it sound right or fair? How does it resonsate with your soul or even your mental reasoning?

If God doesn't listen to those who are not his, then how is it that anyone is ever converted, or come to know God?

Regards,

God hears all prayers from all people. He died for our sins 2007 years ago so that we would be forgiven now, all of us. God hears your prayers, but the bible does say that if you are a believer and have accepted Jesus as your savior, you must first repent of your sins before your prayer will be answered.

Not at all. God hears all prayers. But most of the time, those who don't believe don't pray either.

Pretty much. The choice of whether or not a person comes to their senses and goes to Christ is a question for the ages.
Alot of times God puts it into your mind to come to Him, but alot of times people simply ignore that call.
Christ said "if" a man comes to Him, He would in no wise turn such a man(or woman) away. But the biggest word in biblical language is that "if". It's your choice. You can go if you want, or not. It's all up to you.

that's not only non-scriptural, it's illogical as well...of course God hears EVERY prayer, regardless of who's doing the praying...He made ALL of us and He loves ALL of us..besides, if He only heard the prayers of the saved, how would He hear the prayers of those ASKING to be saved, and how would they GET saved...

He causes the rain to fall on the just and the unjust
In the book of John 10, it states that only His sheep hear His voice

that's how I see it

I think that is an accurate statement. Yahweh "hears" everyone's prayer, but unless your one of his followers they prayer will not be answered.
