Any color system that you use will wear off in six weeks that's how it is meant to happen. Your best option is to read the box of each product before you purchase it. In most cases, you will see something that has a #3 on it and that should be the highest of the color systems.

As far as product options on which one to use? I've taken a liking to Loreal, Revlon, and Hydrience (I believe it's made by Clariol) can't remember. Revlon and Loreal had great results with product and really impressed with the color choice, turned out better than I thought. LOL! Hydrience is really nice as well and I never had any issue with breakage from using the product.

The Garnier (sp) was good but I wasn't that tickled with the amount of the product that came with it. I've tried color from a few others but the ones I mentioned are those that I really remember.

Hope this helps!

I've used heaps of permanent black dye and often they have faded. I've tried most and the best I've found is Schwarzkopf Vital colors in natural black..no90. I always get regrowth from it so thats a good sign it has worked!! good luck

They all fade, but you can use the shampoo and conditioners that are for color treated hair, they sorta help, also deep conditioning your hair helps. The only thing that I used and didn't fade right away was henna. Check this website out for more info.

ALL hair color will fade. Permanent color is only needed when hair needs to be lightened or grey covered. Other than that you should stick to semi-perm color. It is less damaging and application is more "forgiving". Best of luck.

how fast a dye fades depends on the color of the dye
all reds and then any other drastic color; say blue, green, purple - they all fade very quickly.

The more "natural" hair colors will fade less quickly.
