I will be turning 16 on Friday n im excited bout working and want to get a job asap..do i have to get an application for a job before i can get working papers from my skool?..and what are working papers for..none of my friends work so asking them wouldnt make sense..also would being a cashier at Petsmart be a good job and does it pay decent cause i live like 35-40 miles away from it and i would like to have some money left after getting gas for my car or possibly Applebee's..all the jobs that are closer to me are slow and boring and i want to have fun while im working so plz help..

You don't need a job application before getting your working papers. You can most likely get information or the application from your school - check with the guidance counsellor or the admin office to see if they have them, or information on where to obtain them. You can also try online via your state website. You can safely assume that the jobs for which you will be eligible for will be minimum wage, so you can also check via your state's website on the minimum hourly wage rate.
