my cat had some form of alopecia (balding), and they actually put her on dog birth control pills and her hair grew back -- this was 20 years ago, so treatments may have changed since then.

Do you feed your cat dry food only. This could be a cause. So could a flea allergy. Most cases it is from dry food only diets. They need the oils from canned food for their skin. This is a very common instance in cats that are indoor only and eat only dry foods. Does it ever get UTI's? Need more info for a better answer.

Keep administering the vitamins. You might also try giving her Omega 3 fish oil capsules, just squirt the gel over her food. I give this to my kitties, esp. the one who has a flea allergy and had no fur on his butt for along time. His fur grew back all shiny and beautiful. I was also giving him raw egg and children's liquid vitamins in his wet food and all of that did him a world of good.

He said maybe from what. Please add information to this question. I don't know why it is losing hair. It could be allergic to the flea medication you are using. I have heard that some of the good ones like front line can do this.
