Leviathan was a dinosaur...from Job. Genetics were mentioned all over...ever heard of the sections which talk about so and so beget some such, and some such beget whatsisname...and whatsisname beget....
Nuclear power was what wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah.
LOL!!! How come scientists don't know about every subject under the Sun? What is pertinent to your salvation? Dinosaurs, genetics, or nuclear physics? Perhaps none of the above....

Humans at the time of the writing of the stories in the Old Testament did not have access to the understanding of the sciences we have today.
Many of the people in the OT such as Abraham, came from family tribal cults/religions. The story of creation came from one person (the tribal elder or elders) understanding of the natural mytical world around them. They only understood what they saw and experienced. Therefore, although nuclear power existed, it was not expereinced, therefore unknown. Dinosaurs on the other hand may have been experienced through bones and other discoveries but because they could not be understood, became mystical. Genetics goes along with the nuclear power thing. To become a human or make a human, you only needed a couple things, luck, a man and a woman and depending what religion you belonged to and what God you prayed to, a little superstition.

Hmmm, the Bible was written way too long ago to have anything about genetics and nuclear power in it. In many books of the Bible, an animal is referenced that is described as a dinosaur is described today.

Um...can you rule out the behemoth and leviathan as dinosaurs?
Job 40:15-24 41:1 for the large beasts...which may have been dinosaurs for all we know. I have noticed that scientists are still learning and redefining things they "were sure of"
And, have you realized that the Bible was probably the first place that gave the rules for healthy diet?
Probably had nothing about nuclear power since...let's see...there was none...and no one has proved it to be a safe source of power anyway.

Some people write on here that "leviathan" in the book of Psalms and/or "behemoth" in the book of Job refer to dinosaurs. They are just wrong, and even most real Biblical scholars agree that they are wrong. (some are even wrong about the book in the Bible where they are found, not even willing to research their own assertions, let alone those of their churches or teachers).
There is a very interesting article on the entire subject of Biblical creatures, mythical and otherwise, at:
http://www.bibleandscience.com/science/dinosaurs.htm
How about the 15 times (not even counting Revelation) that the Bible mentions "Dragons," the 9 times it mentions "Unicorns," or the 19 times it mentions "Giants"? Does that mean that the scientists are wrong about that too, for claiming that there never were any unicorns or dragons despite what the Bible says? (We can cut them some slack about "giants" since several races of mankind may appear to be giants to other races.) And all of this doesn't even count the myriad of fantastic animals and creatures mentioned in Revelation. It is also worth noting that any of these creatures can also be found in earlier myths that pre-dated the Bible, such as the Gilgamesh myth.
I'm sure that most of those who say such nonsense as "leviathan was a dinosaur" believe it, because those who desperately cling to religion in the face of science, reason and evidence grasp for any support they can find. They rarely question what they are taught, or the qualifications of the teacher.

Dinosaurs are in the Bible, or rather there are descriptions of beasts that can be interpreted as dinosaurs. And even if they aren't, well, it's simple, they didn't know about dinosaurs then.
So are genetics to an extent--read all those begats and how lineages can be traced etc.
And as for nuclear power-well, it wasn't around when the Bible was written.
If you're going to refute something, at least understand it first.

The Bible is not a scientific or historical textbook. It is a book about moral law cause we have a moral God. It is a spiritual book and can only be totally understood if you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then your mind and God's through Jesus Christ are the same except ours is still clouded with sin for now until we are judged and raised.

What's insulting is people who weasel biblical terminology to make it say anything they want.
The bible mentions no dinosaurs.
How could it? There were no dinosaurs when the bible was written. They were LONG extinct by then.
Update: Are you morons actually speaking SERIOUSLY about that fairytale flying gizmo in job that breathes fire and smoke??? Give me a BREAK! If you guys want to swallow that garbage, that's your business. But to use it as some kind of ersatz "evidence" that the bible mentions dinosaurs in a feeble effort to convince reasoning people to believe it, you're more gullible than pt barnum could have ever dreamed of!
Oh, and jalepeno or whatever...geneology is NOT genetics. Is english your second language or something?

Remember the bible was written at a time when these technologies did not exist. Humans did not have knowledge of these subjects so nothing was written about them.Take for instance the references in Revelations to the four corners of the earth. They didn't even know that the earth is round. Now don't be discouraged though. This does not disprove the existance of God. It just means that the people who wrote about him did not have the knowledge we have now.
