find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Skipping breakfast is probably the worst thing you can do. Without breakfast your metabolism doesn't even start working until your first meal which will probably be lunch. So when you do eat lunch you body will have been starving will turn it all into storage.
What I have been doing for the last 3 months is change what I eat and how often.
For example I cut out pop drinks like Pepsi and Coke, chips, chocolate, and other high sugary foods, and substituted them for fruit and vegetables like apples, oranges, and carrots.
I also changed my eating pattern, instead of diner being my biggest meal, lunch now is. I have a small breakfast, snack at about 11 am then lunch (my biggest meal), another snack at about 3-4 pm and then dinner at 6pm.
My snacks usually consist of self-serving yogurts and a piece of fruit of some raw vegetables.
I have a very physical intensive job so I get limited exercise before or after work, which is usually walking my dog for about an hour.
In the three months that I've started to do this I've dropped from approx 320 lbs to approx 305.
I'm not perfect either. I have cheated every once in a while but the main thing to remember is that you have to go back to it the next day, and then the day after.
Also if you want to lose weight and eat a bunch, raw grapefruit and cooked cabbage work nicely as they take more calories to digest than they actually give. It may work for some people but I like my tasty food and it just won't work for me.
I hope this helps!

To lose weight you need to eat every 2-3 hours to keep your "furnace" burning fat. You need to limit sodas, sugar, white flour products and any cream sauces. Limit your red meat intake to 2 times a week if possible, concentrating more on turkey, chicken and fish. Water is KEY to successful weight loss. You need to drink 8 /8ounce glasses a day, plus one 8 ounce glass for every 25 pounds of extra weight. Go for the whole grains ALL THE VEGETABLES you can eat (no corn :( ) Fresh fruits limiting bananas due to the fact they are a high glycemic food. This sounds like LIMIT LIMIT LIMIT but the good news is you can eat ALOT of food, as long as it is the RIGHT food. Vegis and fruit should be the abundance of your "liveit" program. I don't use the word Diet because the first three letters spell DIE. It has to be a lifestyle change that you "livit" everyday, (with a few slip ups here and there of course. That is human and normal) Best of luck to you. I know the battle you fight, but it you are the victor of this battle. Set your mind to it and God bless.

Try asking the nutrition guy that I used to help me lose weight. I used to eat five or six times a day just so I felt ok as I needed the energy. Anyway he got me to use some things he recommended and I lost over 30 pounds in four months. I felt great all the time and no hunger or tiredness. Try www.myhealthabc.com, the support and advice you get is so good. The guy is a real expert and can help you out I am sure, it worked for me.

you should eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. When you eat bread have wholegrain and try to only have one serving a day. If you eat meat, try to pick leaner cuts and don't forget to drink plenty of water. Add in some aerobic and strength training too. I lost 75lbs by doing these things. Good luck!
