Green apple, that light spring green color is really cool with lavender and will make it more manly but fresh. You can also use some undertones of beige to make the bright green "pop" more and temper down the lavender. Go to the hardware store and check out the paint chips and you'll see what i mean.
Try using the green in the curtains, the comforter, a throw rug on the floor or on top of the carpet that you may already have.
It's an awesome combination...

I would choose sage green and cream. Try to pick a comforter set with sage and cream, maybe an abstract print, that way it won't be girly. Then i would choose the lavender color on the walls for a nice throw and accent pillows and curtains as well...that will make the room look larger if the curtains are the same color as the walls. I did my friends bedroom just like this and it is beautiful. Also, a nice throw rug with the same colors would be nice too. If you have shelves or a bookcase paint them cream, to help lighten the room up. Good luck...I wish I could help you do it.......I LOVE DECORATING!!!!!

I would suggest some black; due to the fact that you share the room with a male. Bring in a comforter that will have black, lavender and maybe some white in it and put some white curtain shears up. The other option you have is lavendar goes very well with green, mostly a mint green. Then accessorize around one item that will work with the room.
Hope it works!

The only thing I can think of to keep it from being girlie is black.
Not much goes with lavender.
Black and lavender might come out looking pretty chic...or not, but it's the best I could think of.
Good luck.

I too have a lavender room in my home and I have it decorated with soft gold, bronze and white, it looks warm and tropical. You could also try doing a darker shade of purple and dark brown which would definitely make it more masculine and contemporary.

I did my stepdaughters room with lavender partitions and white furnishings. yet I replaced it up on one wall and painted a plaid utilising blue, green, yellow and pink diverse length stripes and traces. She loves it! Then with the bedding I went to the clearance section at linens and issues and acquired blend and tournament sheets and pillowcases in those colorings, even got here upon some cool acrylic knobs in those colorings to alter out the drab white ones on her textile cloth wardrobe.

The colors that would look good, would have to be the combination of dark, dark purple and grey. Its not girly, but sophisticated you can also use black to make some contrast with the light colored room.

I have a lavender room and I offset it with Chocolate Browns, Camels, Maroons and Beiges. I love those color combos but that's just my opinion.
