Finaly Apple will take action
THE CONCEPT – " Apple-trees "
The concept is this: On Apple's outstanding internet store, ITunes they will set up the possibility to buy an "Apple-tree". This will be a non-profit project where the income goes to funding the project itself, aside from a small handling charge. (I know that this sounds bad for a commercial enterprise, but I predict that this will really establish Apple as an environmentally conscious company.)
An "Apple-tree" is an audio- and/or a video-file where (hopefully!) Al Gore will thank you for buying an "Apple-tree". He will then explain to you that by buying an "Apple-tree" you are actually buying endangered rainforests in the tropical belt around the world, which by itself is not enough to save the world but is an important contribution. Then he will give you a new tip with every purchase of an "Apple-tree", of what you can do yourself to give the earth the upper hand in the battle against oblivion. There are several enterprises today that are planting or protecting the rainforest, so Apple would mainly be the front-end marketing arm.
I predict that with Apple's impact on society, and how the conscientious consumers want to participate; this would be a way of getting control over the situation. In the near future people would meet at work, in school, in the neighbourhood and at home to compare the number of trees they have "planted".
This is good brand-building. Apple will make even more money while they are saving the planet.
Now, doesn't that sound cool?

I'm almost as sick of this question as I am of hearing/reading the answer "The Americans", even coming from Americans..Yes, true enough we use more than any other country, however, look at our population, and look at how much we produce too. We support the economy of several different countries around the world, and what would happened if we stoped (i.e. stopped using so much) to their local economies, then that would be our fault too. Screw that. Is Global Warming real, no. Not no, hell no. It's junk science, do some research on your own, look into the opposing opinion of things for a change instead of buying into what someone else is telling you-think for yourself. According to the science, the real science, something you do not hear about from Al Gore-and others...
WATER VAPOR CAUSES MORE POLLUTION THAN MAN MADE CO2!!!!
Under ocean volcanoes, something BTW we cannot control, heats up the ocean causes evaparation releasing more CO2 into the atmos. than man ever could. Not to mention the volcanoes that erupt around the world. And forget saving the trees, unless its an ever green...Do trees that loose their leaves in the fall produce oxygen year round, hell no!
If you're really concerned about it you need to plant something like Kudzoo, a leafy vine plant from Japan that grows upto 8 inches A DAY, and produces oxygen year round. Christ people, I'm a highschool drop out and I know more than those that are going around using Scare tatics on all of you.

DEFORESTATION,because of AGRICULTURE & subsquent DESERTIFICATION,and the reason for this is OVERPOPULATION
or because of War and Trade as in the past
PAST
the Building of the Spanish Armada deforrested Spain
the Phoenician trading fleet turned Lebanon in a dessert
Ganges Khan put everything to the sword and torch, then filled the wells with sand,
the sun finished of the job and whole countries turned to wastelands.
PRESENT
Slash and burn destroys the protective vegetation (which helps to form the soil ),
leaving it open to the Sun ,and then ,wind and, water erosion.
The Plough turns the soil ,killing micro-biotic life (essential to soil building) and accelerates the drying out .
Pressures of the :vehicles, cattle and rain impact brings the salt to the surface.
Mono cultures ,aided by chemicals Exhaust and pollutes the soil .
Adding to this the effects of overgrazing has resulted in large scale desertification.
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,Farmers
are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
and plowing more and more unstable lands going into the jungles and onto mountain slopes
expanding populations and expanding farming ,that has to keep pace with the expanding populations are very strong forces that encroach upon the rainforest's
clearing them for farming and settlement areas .
Rainforest's always are in third world countries and always in third world countries corruption and the need for money s highest
in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification and some have died as a result
,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and most of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were few desserts.
collectively this planet is drying up ,
each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
Arable lands and their farms are lost all over the globe. Many farmers sons abandon farming and head for the cities.
Northern China is drying up, what once were millions of food producing people, are now hungry refugees ,running for their lives from the all consuming dust storms.
This will have a great effect on world food prices when they start buying at what ever cost, to feed their people.
The farmers that are left have to feed some 70 million more people than the year before but with less topsoil.
Over the last half century,
Population growth & rising incomes have tripled world grain demand from 640 million tons to 1,855 million
In the near future the global farming community will not be able to feed every body ,food prices will continue to rise. .

I would like to answer you in dramatical or ironical. you know theme of appearence and reality. so if the internal warmth of humanity comes to cool down i can prove the warmth of climate will certainly cool down and vice versa. it is because what is between the SKY and EARTH that is created for humen biengs ok and humen biengs used all the things among it. if men is cool the things will be certainly cool wrther never . this philosphy requires inner sense of reality. if some one have he/she can understand. am talking about the relation between men and enviroment. In this connection if u imagin that in the new millinuim things are going to warming and warming it is because men is going to warming. i mean policies of man.so 1st it is needed to understand the problem then find out the real solution and then give the time with sincerely to solve it. its ok by your good friend zakir_khan782000@yahoo.com

Well, global warming isnt influenced by man, so im going to jump on board the Doomsday Train for a second and act as if man is actually causing it. If we were and CO2 actually did cause global warming which completely not true, then dont blame the americans. China, Brazil, and India will all be producing 25% more CO2 than the US by 2020.

It's the SUN, you bunch of accepting sheep. THINK! Without the sun, the Earth would be a frozen ball of rock.
Global warming is a religion. There's a god - Gaia. There's an original state of grace - pre-industrial society. There's original sin - the Industrial Age. There's a prophet - Al Gore. There's a bible - An Inconvenient Truth. There are indulgences - carbon credits.
And there's faith, because there ISN'T one shred of proof that humans have caused ANY global warming.

I think that many industrial countries, such as the US, China, Japan, and Taiwan. I also think that cars have a big impact on global warming, and the fact that so many people think that global warming is a scam for Al Gore and other big corporations to make money. To find out how you can help reduce global warming visit these websites.
