Well first off you can't be doing this for someone else this has got to be something that you want. Take sometime & think about it also you can write down the benefits to losing weight like being able to do more things to feel better about yourself stuff like that then you will need to eat 6 small meals a day that will keep your metabolisim up try & drink at least 6 glasses of water daily ditch or avoid sodas chips & snack stuff if you must drink soda drink diet. Here are a few links to help get you started in the right direction. Also another trick you can use is to keep a food journal write down everything you've eat & drank during the day do this for a week this will show what exactly you are eating & how much. Just hang in there & don't give up it will be tough sometimes but remember to have faith in yourself & once you set your mind to it you can do anything you want. Please feel free to drop me a line if you need anything

Body for life is a great way to get healthy and look good too. The good thing about this plan is that you can eat anything you want, but only on one day each week. That's great because no you will always know you can look forward to your "cheat" day. It's an intense regimen but you gradually work into it and it's only 45 mins of weight training 3 times a week, and 20 mins cardio the other 3 time each week, with the 7th day your rest/cheat day. Check it out, but just one tip, you don't need to use EA's supplements your shakes.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Start off gradually, like walking every day. Also, start restricting your diet. Start eating 25% less of what you normally eat.

When the walking no longer is a challenge, start jogging, and then running when you're ready. As you gain more endurance, eat a little less, or eat lower-calorie foods.
