The cross used for the crucifixion of Jesus as well as others is historically shown as a small tee. Because of the extra labor involved and lacking sophisticated means (drills to prevent splitting, adhesives, machined hardware etc.) of attaching two pieces of wood in a ''T'' rather than a ''t'' I would have to guess they used the latter.

I am blonde and working on my PhD, and your ignorance is slightly amusing (amusing like hearing a child retch on a school bus).
As the question of the shape of the crucifiction object seems to be relatively answered by many bright (and even blond) people around, I thought I'd interject my thoughts...
How does this relate to first aid or healthcare in general? We're not going to explain how to attend to the wounds caused to Jesus, or how to remove a splinter caused by the wood....
This appears to be an entire question based in ignorance... again... mildly amusing
