you should better do it by your hairdresser, but it is not a very big problem. If you dont like your colour now, change it. Dont do it only every week :-)

If you hate the colour yes it can be changed although it will fade i am a hairdresser and have fixed many of these situations in my time if your hair was in good condition and had no previous colour then this will be easy and not cost you so much but if you hair was in bad condition and has had previous colour treatments then you will have a harder time don't try to do it at home you WILL end up orange and you WILL hate it a whole lot more i suggest that you go asap to a salon you trust you also need to be completely honest as if you are not honest they can not do their jobs properly and may unnecessarily cause damage to your hair if you hair is to you shoulders or longer then any colour you have had done in the last 3 years depending on the length needs to be addressed if you don't feel comfortable with what they are going to do you have the right to say that you don't want it done also find up out front how much it will be they will need to see you to give you a price

I would agree with Gemma on this one. Waiting before you color would be best. I have medium blonde hair and am always dying it dark brown and like it that way. Within 2 weeks, my hair lightens up considerably to where I have to dye it again to maintain the dark color. You might be pleased with the results once it lightens up. If it is still not light enough, you can add some honey highlights. I believe it is called Custom Effects and you can get it at any drug store. But this is a good product and can be used on color treated hair and always adds beautiful highlights for me.

I was always told to wait at least 2 weeks after you make your hair darker before you try to redye your hair, regardless of what color you're trying to dye it. Wait about 4-6 weeks after going lighter because you used a bleaching agent in your hair and you could really damage your hair and it could turn green. So with that being said, you dyed your hair a week ago, you have one more week to go before you do anything to your hair. You should have a hairdresser take care of dying your hair honey brown.

I would leave it as long as poss as dying the hair so soon again can damage and affect the finished colour! but i would try washing your as much as poss with head & shoulders as it will take a lot of the dye out of your hair before your hair dresser dyes it again for u!

Loreal is normally a good choice that is what i use. mine has done that before to when i used garnier. I dont know why it did that. what you could do it do a color remover, which is really cheap, or try a high lift brown (light) which could help darken it some.

All that can be done is to go to a hairstylist and have them do a really heavy highlight. It will lighten you up perfectly!
