FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I CANNOT BELIEVE ALL THE
ASININE ANSWERS people are giving you.
DID THE PILGRIMS HAVE A BETTER MORAL RIGHT
TO immigrate here than today's immirants of all race...MY ANSWER TO YOU FOR THAT IS QUESTION IS..... EMPHATICALLY NO!!
Some of the dumb stuff MAKES ONE NOT KNOW WHETHER LAUGH OR CRY; FOR INSTANCE like the comment someone made about the Radio Shack WELL HERE IT IS:
"I was in the mall the other day when a Radio Shack
opened up. Does that mean that I have ownership
claims? Of course not."
OF COURSE NOT is the only thing he said right!, THAT'S WHAT WE ARE TELLING YOU. YOU ARE HERE ILLEGALLY! JUST BECAUSE COLUMBUS SAILED THE OCEAN BLUE AND HAPPENED TO SEE LAND (instead of RadioShack)YES, LAND WHERE PEOPLE WERE SETTING UP THEIR TEEPEES, SENDING UP SMOKE SIGNALS, HUNTING, PLAYING WITH THEIR CHILDREN, CHATTING WITH THEIR NEIGHBORS... does that mean COLUMBUS HAVE OWNERSHIP CLAIMS just because he happened to ACCIDENTLY BE THERE? ofcoursenot! THIS WAS OCCUPIED TERRITORY! YOU PEOPLE STOLE THIS LAND FROM A PEOPLE AND THE ONLY THING THEY ASK IS LET THEM STAY HERE AND WORK ON LAND THAT SHOULD BE THEIRS ANYWAY!!!!
he babbled on about having papers to Jamestown or whatevah! hehehe gosh!!! WASN'T JAMESTOWN ALL PART OF THE STOLEN LAND!? Unless he is a senior citizen rich, or have property willed to him, then he does not have OWNERSHIP PAPERS TO HIS HOUSE (if he has a house) THAT MEANS WE COULD DISCOVER HIS HOME AND MOVE IN....rrrgh
HE ALSO SAID:"So, to avoid being laughed at in the future, think things through!"
IF A WISE MAN IS REALLY WISE, HE WILL TAKE HIS OWN ADVICE ESPECIALLY IF IT IS GOOD ADVICE like "think things through!" Right? right!!

Linda Says: I love how
people try to say something is okay by
bringing up the past when it was the
spanish who came and conquered first???"
NOW REALLY, SHE doesn't see that she just brought up the past by bringing up the Spanish...ROTFLMAO!
WELL AT LEAST SHE ADMITTED THAT THE SPANISH, who are white, CAME AND STOLE THIS LAND FIRST....hehehe. They came, they saw, they conquered...lol Well the MEXICANS are more civilized. BESIDES, they were invited to come here
SHE, nor the Spanish had an invitation to settle on these hallow grounds UNLESS OF COURSE SHE IS INDIAN AND IF SHE IS,she is an oreoorapple.
========
ANOTHER 1...flew over the coo coo's nest....Potowattomi says:"Adam sinned
leaving the Garden and entering the wilderness, he would have done better if he had refused to leave and accepted his death there and then.;
It is a sin these mexicans do comming here
and it will be required against them and theirs in america.=====
AW now that's just pitiful...AND THIS PERSON CONSIDERS HIM/HERSELF A BONA-FIDE, BIBLE CARRYING CHRISTIAN. Show me in the bible where it says IT IS A SIN FOR MEXICANS TO COME TO THEIR OWN LAND BUT IT'S O.K. FOR CHRISTIANS TO KILL 'EM AND STEAL THEIR LAND!
Not only that, ADAM COULDN'T refuse to leave the Garden and he could refuse to LIVE, AnyMORE THAN YOU could refuse to be born! CHEEEZOWHEE! Adam didn't wanna die anymore than most people with good sense. WHY DON'T YOU GO TO THE LAND OF YOUR ANCESTORS...AMERICA is not your home if you seriously believe people are suppose to stay where their home is. YOUR ROOTS ARE NOT HERE. I guess if you can ridicule Adam for living outside the garden, I can ridicule you for staying in a stolen country that you are finding so much dissatisfaction with.

NOW READ THIS: The pilgrims did not covet this new land! In fact
if you check they had a horrible time and for the
first settlements they lost 50% of the settlers due to starvation and harsh weather.==
=========================
it is sooooooo obvious she doesn't know what the definition of covet is. as I said some of these answers are so pitiful; anyway this is my good deed : definition of covet is....
covet transitive verb
1 : to wish for earnestly
2 : to desire (what belongs to another) inordinately or culpably intransitive verb
: to feel inordinate desire for what belongs to another synonyms see desire
COVET DOES NOT MEAN THEY LIKE IT OR LOVED IT HERE; IT MEANS INSPITE OF IT BELONGING TO ANOTHER PEOPLE THEY WANTED IT BAD ENOUGH TO TAKE IT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!
But because they did suffer so much that was ALL THE MORE REASON THEY SHOULD HAVE STAY IN BRITAIN. I guess INDIANS ARE SUPPOSE TO FEEL SORRY FOR PEOPLE WHO WERE STEALING THEIR PROPERTY AND COMMITTING GENOCIDE ON THEIR PEOPLE??? The"PILGRIMS" even used savage methods to kill off the INDIANS.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~READ IT FOR YOURSELF!
http://www.thefurtrapper.com/indian_smallpox.htm
In a letter (1763) to Colonel Bouquet, Lord Amherst wrote, "Could it not be contrived to send the Small Pox among those disaffected tribes of Indians? We must on this occasion use every stratagem in our power to reduce them".
Bouquet replied that he would try and use infected blankets as a means of introducing the disease among the Indians, but was wary of the effects that it would have on his own men...at least twenty-five percent or more of Bouquet's soldiers would have been susceptible to the smallpox virus.
Someone said there were no laws then only customs..so we have laws NOW, SHOULD THE INDIANS SUE YOU FOR WRONGFUL DEATHSsss?
==========
THE ONE THAT REALLY WAS FUNNY funny, funny
was the one that said to the affect GOD GAVE this land to them because is "the PROMISE LAND" hehehe..GOSH! that's funny. I thought the promised land is what Moses could see while he was in Egypt, but could not enter
OH MOSES WHAT BIG EYES YOU HAVE TO SEE ALL THE WAY TO AMERICA !!
others said:
They came here to have a chance at a new life
without persecution and other such problems in the old world.
EXACTLY WHAT THE MEXICANS WANT!.
volleyballchick says, "Someone - or something -owned the land at one time before another took it over."
SO IF SOMEONE COMES AND D-I-S-C-O-V-E-R-S and TAKES YOUR CAR, HOUSE OR BOYFRIEND/HUSBAND/CHILDREN ETC It's O.K because they wanted them...I MEAN YOU HAD THEM LONG ENOUGH, RIGHT?
Volleyballchick: "Besides - I am one quarter Native American. So I belong here more than some."
WONDER WOULD YOU FEEL THE SAME IF, INSTEAD, YOU WERE THREE QUARTERS INDIAN AND ONE QUARTER WHITE and you looked INDIAN and were discriminated against and had to live on the reservation???????
====
hehehe...joeandhisguitar said: "There were no laws back then so much as there were
tribal customs."
SINCE it is your custom to sleep on the left side of the bed, it's O.K. IF a NAVAJOE INDIAN COMES IN AND SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE SINCE THERE IS NO LAW AGAINST HIM SLEEPING NEXT TO YOU? hehehe seee how effing dumb that sounds
ALL YOU guys WHO GOING COMPLETELY INSANE ABOUT people who have as much right as you to survive, to take care of their families and to go about their daily lives without all of this hellavalu, SHOULD BE SO UTTERLY ASHAMED. How can you call yourself AMERICANS when AMERICA is suppose to stand for DEMOCRACY; American are going all over the world trying to get people to become a democracy telling them that a democracy stands for equality and justice for all!!! ARE THESE JUST WORDS OR DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE EVERYONE HAS AN UNALIENABLE RIGHT TO THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS OR DOES THIS JUST APPLY TO RACIST PEOPLE? Betcha if the Swedish were on the brink of starvation and flooding over here YOU WOULDN'T BE acting like raving maniacs about letting them stay!
Unfortunately, facts do not keep liberals from repeating this often spoken lie. But then again, the definition of a liberal is someone who does not think things through.
Now to be "illegal" some law has to have been broken. When the Pilgrims and others landed on the Continental of North America, what law was broken?
Contrary to movies, the natives were barely out of the stone age when the Europeans (including Spaniards) arrived. They had no written laws. No title to land, no ownership (other than possession) of land.
So to once again answer the childish question, No America's earliest settlers were NOT illegal aliens.
The stone age people did not own the land any more than the deer or bears. So there was no coveting of that which was not owned.
Now I own a nice piece of property. I have challenged many members of the largest group of Indians in the USA (the wannabes tribe :) to offer documentary evidence that they are the rightful owners of the land and I will give it to them with all improvements.
None can do so. Now there are Indian lands that were GIVEN to them by the White men. Those are the treaty lands in dispute now.
Jamestown is over 400 years old this year. Show me a deed or other document that proves who owned it 450 years or even 420 years ago and I will think you might have a case. But you don't!!!
And just because a bunch of "stone age" indians happened to be in the area when the Jamestown settlers arrived does not convey ownership.
I was in the mall the other day when a Radio Shack opened up. Does that mean that I have ownership claims? Of course not.
So, to avoid being laughed at in the future, think things through!
No.
"Illegal" constitutes laws that are broken. There were none. As for "God's law", one could argue that for every piece of land on this earth. The Romans would not have had all of the land they had, and there wouldn't be any countries other than the ones that were first around. Someone - or something - owned the land at one time before another took it over.
Basically, while I will give you an A for effort, the argument is not a valid one. Besides - I am one quarter Native American. So I belong here more than some, if you would like to look at it that way.
The other thing is that Native Americans didn't follow the bible. They had a completely different religion, so why are you forcing "God's law" upon those that didn't believe in that God?
Each time i hear the comment that illegal aliens are here to take over the US , it makes me wonder as what exactly we mean . After all, i am now starting to understand how the Indians must have felt when my fore parents immigrated here a few centuries ago.
Did the Indians protested then? Is there documented proof of this? Who are the real and rightful Americans.
The Native Americans did not have a country. There were multiple tribes that moved when necessary, and had no delineated borders. There was no law against immigration then, thus, they were not illegal.
The settlers that moved in won by conquest.
There is now a delineated country in America. Thus, we protect our borders, and enforce the laws that we put down over our lands. So now, they are illegal. We enforce our laws.
And the only thing I care about the Ten Commandments is the loss of numbers 11-15... damn you Moses for dropping that third tablet...
The Indians said that the first man in America was the BEAR. I see immigration as a sin. Adam sinned leaving the Garden and entering the wilderness,, he would have done better if he had refused to leave and accepted his death there and then.
The bible says that a bird that stays in its own nest is wise, I believe this. I think people who stay in the area wherin they were born and raised are wise and blessed, Jesus did not go out unto all the world to preach, he stayed in his homeland and told people he came for his people and not for others.
It is a sin these mexicans do comming here and it will be required against them and theirs in america and in their native lands I believe.
No they weren't not illegal aliens because the territory that now is the USA was not one Nation with laws controlling the influx of immigrants from the rest of the world. It was occupied rather scarcely by several Native tribes.
The immigrants that are coming here today are not just looking for territory, they are coming here to benefit from the infrastructure built by the pilgrims, other European immigrants and African slaves. If this nations was still occupied by Native Americans only, the illegal immigrants would not be attempting to enter this country.
And anybody that does not live in Africa somehow immigrated because we all originate from Africa.
