crunches wouldnt work - they dont burn fat - they build muscle so would make your belly lookl bigger.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You need to drop fat all over to flatten those abs. Spot reduction doesn't work, crunches as ab flatters are pretty much a myth.
Eat: Lean Meats and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, some starch, no sugar.
Drink: Only water and maybe a glass of milk in the morning. If you have to have something sweet, one or two diet sodas a day won't kill you. But drink lots of water.
Go to www.spartafit.com and figure out how many calories a day you should be eating to loose weight. Then go to www.calorielab.com and divide those calories into six daily meals. 2/3rds into breakfast, lunch and dinner, the other third into three between meal snacks. Try to eat every two hours.
As far as excercise goes, three days a week of weight training (you won't bulk up, don't worry) and two days of 45 minute cardio sessions will get you really quick results when paired with the diet guidelines above. You'll see noticable results within two to three weeks.
Good luck!

When you eat sugars and food that are rapidly converted to sugar, it causes a rise in your blood sugar, and it results in the release of serotonin in the brain, giving you a warm feeling, as the carbohydrates are rapidly converted to glucose by your digestive system.
With these high sugar levels, the pancreas is instructed to release insulin to help bring down the blood sugar levels. Problems arise when insulin pushes the blood sugar levels down too low. This results in a rapid decline in serotonin levels, a quick drop in energy, which brings forth an irresistible craving for more sugar and carbohydrates. And after some time you have more of this stuff being stored in the body as glycogen and fat.
You'll need to avoid certain carbs-especially the highly processed carbs. All fats aren't bad, good sources of fat at fish, eggs, beans, nuts, and so forth.
- Always eat your protein first, then your carbohydrate, and your fresh fruit always comes in last
- Avoid farm raised salmon-they have too many toxins in them, and they don’t have the correct balance of omega 3’s and omega 6s
-- Focus on getting organic produce, poultry and dairy, e.g. cage free poultry
- Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, for their phytonutrients and fiber
- Onto your apple sprinkle some cinnamon, a pear with a pinch of ginger, and your strawberries with a splash of balsamic vinegar. These help with lowering and stabilizing your blood sugar, speeds up your metabolism and offering protection from free radical damage
-Do not use bottle dressing on your salads, instead use extra virgin oil and fresh lemon juice. Bottled dressing has more chemicals than your local dry cleaners
-Keep a fresh supply of natural nuts in your freezer (unsalted), for fatty acids and their slimming effect.
-Choose old fashioned oat meal instead of instant oat meal, the latter is highly processed.
-Look for Foods alive organic Golden flax crackers. They have all the benefits of omega -3 rich flaxseed i.e. lower your cholestrol, keep your appetite at bay, reduce the inflammation in your body.
If you'd like to slow down the rate at which you are accumulating fat in your body or incase you stop lifting for one reason or the other, look into eating lots of fresh fruits, high fat fish, oatmeal, nuts, seeds, yogurt and kefir. These foods slow down the inflammation in your body.
Get 7-8 hours of sleep:A lack of sleep causes stomach cells to produce ghrelin, which increases your feelings of hunger. At the same time, there is a decrease in production of a hormone named Leptin, which is responsible for suppressing our appetite and burning fat stores.
Reduce your stress-when experiencing chronic stress, you end up feeling hungry all the time, and this is a major reason why you'd find yourself overeating. Lower your stress by spending some quite time alone, if you have a pet, spend some more time with it-studies have shown that owning a non judgmental companion animal is good for you mentally, physically and emotionally. You also need to add tea to your diet, studies have shown and proven that green tea prevents the absorption of fat, and in the process keeping excess body fat at bay. Not to forget its calming effect
-Every meal that you have must include a low glycemic carbohydrate, essential fatty acids and a protein.
-Good sources of carbohydrate include brown rice, old fashioned oatmeal(stay away from the instant oatmeal), barley, chick peas, and lentils.
-A secret from Africa and India is drinking soup before your meals. Examples include tomato soup, lentil soup, and old fashioned vegetable/chicken soup. These does a wonderful job in ensuring that you eat less. Focus on drinking your soup at least twice a day.
Hope this helps!
