i have a Nikon N55 35mm and a macrophoto lense..
Im aspiring to become a Director and I'm covering all my bases. I am an amuture photgrapher who has been self tought basically. My dad gives me tips but i was wondering what other tricks there are...any are great!
also if you hear of any new
&& better cameras and video cameras (i have a cannon XL1S)
I need some info cause im going into highschool in August and i need to have everything ready for the next four years.

I used to do a lot of photography and I'd like to give you some ideas. Learn to work with depth of field, lighting contrast, and also maybe some depth contrast. What I mean by depth contrast for example take a picture of Cheerleaders up close with the football game in the shot going on behind. Since you are starting high school talk to the journalism teacher about doing some freelance work to learn how its done. Try to think shots through for what you want in a picture that might be a clever shot. Those kinds of things take practice. One more thing... take pictures pictures pictures
